I watched tv during my cardio w/o and saw Ninja Kacy in a commercial for Marriott Hotels. Yea to Marriott for signing her. Glad she could earn some money as a result of her ANW success. Bopper, snow??!! Patty, I bet Lucy is a doll in her costume.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Spoke too soon, doc called ds yesterday afternoon, his liver enzymes were high on his blood tests so he has to redo it this week and if they're still high, he'll either have to cut back or come off the Imuran. Not sure if it effects the Humira too. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Lucy was the Belle of the Ball...lol...her little tail looked like the stinger! She was soooo good with the kids, one kid choked her and another one smacked her on her head and squeezed it and she didn't get snippy at all. I'm happy that she likes kids so much, sometimes the tiny ones don't.

Set out to do 6 miles this morning...not saying whose fault it was but it ended up being more and I wasn't in the mood. My foot was really hurting...dh takes me down this road, we get all the way to the end and it's closed with barbed-wire fencing.{#emotions_dlg.glare} Had to turn around and go all the way back...then we thought we were taking a trail that comes out at this little park we could cut through and it was just a big circle that brought us back around to where we started the trail to begin with.{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}{#emotions_dlg.mad}

Let me tell you, when you are completely over it and still have 2 to 3 miles left, it may not sound like much, but it felt like twice that distance. Plus I knew we still had a lot of yard work to do. Weeded, pulled up roots, ugly flowers, bushes, etc...dug up two bushes and replanted them, looks a lot better.

I'll plant flowers this week or next....dh is leaving town for a couple of weeks so I'll have plenty of time to get to it. My back is already aching and dh hurt his shoulder once with the shovel.

Cooking a roast in the pressure-cooker right now. I have to say, I think I prefer the slow cooker....just seems easier to me even though it takes longer, but that doesn't bother me.

Yes, nomless, that was cool they hired her!

bopper, how is your dad??

Waving to everyone!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Oh, Patty, DS must feel sp discouraged, you and DH too. Lots of prayers and good wishes. What a run you had.....I think that's the first time I've heard you grumble about an outing, so that probably means your foot was hurting extra bad. Hugs. Yea that Lucy was so patient. Enjoy your roast, then sit and relax and get some rest. Hugs.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Yes, nomless, it's a punch in the gut. Not what he needs at this stage of the game, especially since he still isn't completely healed even while being on the steroids on top of the other 3 medications.

I'm going to break down and make an appt for my foot. I just know what they're going to tell me.{#emotions_dlg.sad} It was really hurting yesterday and that was with my new running shoes on that are really good.

Cooler this morning and not supposed to get out of the low 60's for the day...perfect! Going to Cheesecake Factory after church with the 20-somethings....my gf and her husband are going too.

My back is sore from pulling those roots out yesterday and being bent over pulling weeds and such...I knew it would be. I can feel my obliques too so that's good.

Hope everyone has a great day, nomless I hope your gym is empty for you.Wink This one never is. Heading out for a ride, think it's light enough now.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi, all!! Let's see......... Made it to the gym yesterday am. Lifted some of everything, non-stop for 30 minutes, doing lots of combo moves. And then spin -- of course!! So I made up a new move at the gym yesterday (ok, I'm sure someone else has done this, but I was proud of myself for getting creative Smiley Wink )-- DB in each hand, go into single leg deadlift, while down and flat back, do a row (both arms), then come up. While standing, do a bicep curl into overhead press, then back down to start position. Repeat a billion times Smiley Wink I'm so sore today! I really need to do more things like single leg dead lifts, because my balance is pitiful, so I really had to concentrate to not embarrass or hurt myself. Lol! Had company yesterday, so came back and showered up and went out and did some stuff with them. After they left, I had to return a few things to the mall and get some new watch batteries. I've worn one probably 5 times with a dead battery and don't realize it til I'm already out and wondering what time it is. Lol!! So this am, hubby and I went to early church and then grabbed breakfast from this local shop we love, then went on about a 3-mile walk. It is around 55*, so a little chilly, but calm and beautiful!! Lots of birds singing and people out moving around the neighborhood. Bopper, hope you're staying warm!! It's almost time for you guys to REALLY get cold. Smiley Happy Patty, sorry about DS. Praying everything gets leveled out soon! Nomless, glad you had a good workout! Hi to everyone else! I'm going to do some resting today. Hope you all have a great Sunday!!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hey all, was supposed to be partly sunny and it's cloudy and drizzling, enough that you can't go outside. Still have to get lots of leaves raked and I have flowers to pull. I heard this week is supposed to warm up some so hopefully we'll get it done this week. DH doesn't like it getting dark so early either...He just gets home from work and has like an hour and it's already getting dark...and we haven't even turned back the clocks yet...

FUTURE glad you checked in...and are having a down day! Cool move,,,I was picturing it in my head and that's exactly what you were doing! You really love spin don't you? I have never done it but heard it's a very good workout.

Nomless what do you have planned today?

pppmint so sorry DS is having a little setback. I hope and pray they figure it out for him...and on top of that you have Lucy to worry about with this upcoming surgery. And then that dang foot is still bothering you....do you think they will want to put you in the "boot"? Dad is still having issues....I would like to ask you some questions if you could message me on FB please. I feel sorry for him, I know he is worried too. Thank you for asking {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

We're watching football/Nascar right now...went to Lowes this morning for a couple things but other than that we got 'nothin' and when we can't go outside it kind of makes for a long day...

Hubby wants me to make a loaf of Pumpkin bread so I guess I'll do that...

Have a great rest of your Sunday!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

This morning did did a KCM dvd Gym Intervals using my treadmill inclined and then jumping off and doing the free weights...finished up with 5 miles on the recumbent bike....

Still worrying about my dad....he was deciding he if was going to go to the dr. today or not....Pppmnt I'd like to ask you a couple things if you could message me please on FB. I think you could shed some light on it...hoping you are having a good day...I know tomorrow will be stressful for you...just know we are all praying out little girl comes through with flying colors.

nomless another Monday,,hoping your week goes well for you and you can get into the gym and it isn't to crowded for you..

Tony have you been watching Nascar...a little wild yesterday, but Talladaga usually is.

FUTURE another weekend has come and gone..hoping your week isn't too crazy for you...and you get in some nice walks and naps!

Well better get showered and start my laundry...have a wonderful rest of the day!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi, all! Short work day today, so went to lunch with hubby. I think I'll throw some laundry in and get ahead of it this week. Smiley Wink Took the pups for a quick walk, and I'm about to do Pilates for a while, then maybe a NAP! I couldn't fall asleep for one yesterday, so I might make up for it today. Hope your dad is ok, bopper, and that they find out what's going on soon, if they haven't already. I'll say prayers for him. Hope everyone else has a great day!!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi, all. It's a gorgeous day here...about 70 degrees and sunny. Lovely. (Bopper, I'm sorry you don't have the same). It's too bad there's not a good place to walk where I live, today would be a nice day to walk outside. I'm planning on hitting the gym for cardio after work.

Patty, did you make an appt. re: your foot? Better get it looked at. Know I'm thinking about you and Lucy .... know you're anxious about tomorrow.

Hi, Future, that move sounds like a Jillian move.....or Jackie (Warner). Both do a ton of compound moves. Boy, Jackie disappeared, didn't she? No new DVDs from her in quite some time. How nice that you had a short work day today.

Bopper, it sounds like your dad should get some med. advice. I hope you can convince him. I'm sorry you're so worried, but how could you not be? Hang in there.

Ok, break over, back to work. Have a good day, everyone.
