Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Good morning, Patty, I enjoyed reading your post while I had my early AM coffee. I"m so sorry about your knee. You heard a crack? That sounds bad. I hope you'll baby it for a day or two...but knowing you, you'll keep on going, just like Lucy!

My friend with the new cat is keeping her dog and cat physically separated, but they can see each other, and my friend reports the cat and dog talk to each other. So far, so good.

Hi, Bopper, continued prayers and good wishes for your dad. Fun to read about Logan having fun with the squirrel. I bet the squirrel teases him, right?

I did cardio last night, but it was a short, slow session. I was so tired when I got home, I just wanted to go to sleep. Was getting road hypnosis while driving home. I rested for a bit, then went to do cardio. During my vacation, I was able to go long and fast (for me) and it seemed pretty easy. Yesterday, when I was tired, even going slow was hard work. I got a late start, so my w/o was short, but at least I showed up.

I got an email from the husband of an out-of-state friend, explaining why she hasn't emailed me recently....she fell and broke her shoulder and her foot. Ouch! I'm sorry I can't go visit. I have no idea how long she'll be in the arm brace and foot bootie.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Morning! Getting ready to head out, finishing my 2nd cup of coffee and wishing it would get a little lighter out. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Yes, nomless, it was a loud crack. It hurt and sounded so bad, I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to stand on it. I have a knot and bruise on it but it doesn't hurt to walk or run, I was very surprised. I can't roll over on it in bed though. I hope your friend heals quickly.

bopper, still praying for your dad.{#emotions_dlg.sad} Sure hope he's okay and it's nothing serious.

Okay...I'm going to sneak out for a run without Lucy...I'll take her when I get back but this doesn't go over well. It's funny because I can go to the gym and she's okay with that and will kennel up without a problem, but try to run or bike without her and the squawking begins...lol! Especially if I got before I take her.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi guys! First time I've sat down and relaxed since coffee with dh this morning...whew! Worked out early(HIIT with weights focused on upper-body because dh and I are hitting the gym tomorrow for legs before we run then we're going to work in the landscaping beds), took Lucy out, went to bible-study, visited, then did my grocery shopping.

We have a Halloween party tonight(starts at 5) and Lucy is going as a Bumble-Bee...costume is adorable!

DS(thank-you for asking nomless and bopper) is doing "better". Not where we'd like him to be, but better. He'll be on steroids until 2015 since the docs had to extend his taper...ugh.{#emotions_dlg.sad} But he's doing what he has to do...I keep telling him this isn't the entire book, it's just one chapter and we'll get through it. Praying that new medication works.

Sunday we're taking a bunch of the younger adults(in their 20's) out to Cheesecake Factory after church. We really enjoy this age-group...two little babies will be there too, that's always a lot of fun!

Weather has been beautiful...we had a couple of days that were hot and humid again but the past two have been wonderful. Lucy went to groomers yesterday and has her big surgery on Tuesday, I'm a nervous wreck. I had to go to vet yesterday to pick up her antibiotics and got all choked up just talking about it...oh boy, this may get ugly...lol. We think daddy is going to have to be late for work Tuesday so he can either take her or go with us.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend planned and is enjoying their day!! Where's Tony been?? Wink

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Bopper, you sure have ad a lot of gloomy weather this week. I hope you see the sun soon. Have fun at lunch and browsing Ulta and TJM. You'll have fun.

Patty, steroids until the end of the year..yikes, that's a long time! Poor guy. It sounds like he's able to function a bit better, and that's good. I totally understand your anxiety about Lucy's surgery. Hang in there. I hope you and DH enjoy your weekend and do some fun things to take your mind off it.

I'll do cardio tonight. I don't have much planned for this weekend. Yea! I need a rest. This has been a tough week.

Hey, Future, TGIF! You, too, Tony---and BTW, where are you??? Hi to Cater, and a big wave. too {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} (but I can't find the waving icon). Hi to all our friends.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

When I started my workout, I thought it was going to be a short easy one....I was tired, hassled and didn't want to do it. But once I got going, I felt good, and I did a good workout, best one this week. Now, some relaxing!
