Down another .6 not a lot but heck it's better than gaining.

Oh my, they hit the nail on the head for me today with the topic of emotional eating. So many times, I felt happy or frustrated and where did I go? yes, the frig or opened the cake plate to see what was waiting for me.

So many times, boredom also sets in and then I look around in the kitchen, in the cabinets at work and find something to munch on. No planned munchies for me, just have a snack attack and sure enough the weight started to go on.

I think being aware of what's going on with me is critical, I may catch myself just grabbing something for the sake of grabbing food.

You too? Our emotions, that's what did it in for me.

I had a MASSIVE blow out yesterday- this weather has completely overwhelmed me. I just cannot stand being trapped as I am in my house. BYE-BYE, Thanksgiving pie! Luckily that happens VERY rarely to me any more, and when it does, I'm always so happy to return to my healthy routine that it's weeks and weeks between slips. I'm loaded with stressors now, so I just have to keep reminding myself that salt and carbs CANNOT generate joy! Keep the faith, nantucket! You're definitely on the right track!

I'm a lifetime member and am bummed I missed my meeting yesterday due to the weather. I'm not even sure if the WW center was opened. This kind of weather really takes every ounce of willpower you have to stay on track!

Good for you! Any weight loss is good. I started a wellness program two weeks ago and am down 6.2 lbs. Can't forget that .2 lol. I'm also an emotional eater. Don't drink, smoke, have any other vices but boy can I down a six pack of cupcakes.

Here's a tip that's worked well for me these last couple of weeks. I love blackberries. Doesn't hurt they have few calories, are a super food, and a little goes a long way. When I'm craving anything sweet I grab a small bowl of these and it works wonders. I'm satisfied, feel like I've indulged and haven't broke the calorie bank.

Good luck on your journeySmiley Happy

I. I have been on WW for a year and have lost 43 pounds. The past two days I have been snowed in and have been very bad. I had the ladies from the church over for a meeting and had fixed some sweet treats along with healthy. It started snowing that night and I ate the leftovers over the next two days. I think part of it was just boredom. I threw away everything this morning. I was up 2 pounds!

Thanks for the advice! I do try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables when I have the need to snack (which is often when your snowed in and bored)! I just have to think that spring is around the corner and I want to fit into the clothes I have. That's incentive enough to be on track for me!

That's too funny, gives a new meaning to me of what a six pack really is.

I love blackberries too but they don't keep too long in the frig but in a bowl of ice cream is the best....love the Blue Bunny Sweet Sensations I believe that's sugar free.

I really think it's the weather.....it's too cold to do anything.

It's not that I'm not busy, I am but I eat more when it's cold outside.

I ALMOST didn't go to my meeting this morning because I feared I gained...I know that's a sad excuse but it amazed me that I lost over a 1/2 #.

When I think I've gained, I've lost and the opposite holds true. I think my pants are looser, my tops bigger and I walk on that scale and I've gained...today, pants seemed tight and so on and the scale said I lost.

I thought I was more in tuned with my body but I guess I'm far from it.

Nantucket shore you get a BRAVO for going to your meeting. The times you think you gained are the times you really need to go. You have to be accountable for however you did that week. If you decide ""I not going this week"" it can just snowball into a big weight gain. Again good for you on your weight loss.

Thank you! I really never thought of it that way. You are so right and again thanks for enlightening me and a different perspective.

I'm so black and white that everything in between gets lost.
