Hello everyone, I have been attending WW meetings for over a year. I have lost 32.2 pounds and wanted to share my ups and downs with the program. The most important thing I have learned is to keep attending the weekly meetings, even when the scale results are not favorable. I have also learned that keeping track of the daily points is key to success on WW. This past week I used my points and 29 of my 49 bonus points. I lost 2.2 pounds. I try and walk on my treadmill each day sometimes for only twenty minutes. I never use any activity points that I acccumulate. My mom joined WW years ago and I have been familiar with most of their various programs through the last 30 years. The current points plus is the most user friendly and do-able for a lifetime that WW has introduced. They have brought the 360 this last year to complete the circle, which includes the whole life cycle we all live each day. I encourage anyone struggling with weight issues to look into this program. You can eat regular food and they offer their own brand at grocery stores and the meetings. None of their food is required to do the program. I have found eating what is called Power foods that consists of lean protein, fresh fruits and vegetables and low fat dairy work best for me.

Hello everyone, I went to my meeing yesterday and held my weight over the holidays! Yea! The meeting was all about Simple Start, designed from the Simply Filling for new comers. The Simply Filling can be used long term, or you can change to Points Plus on the weeks you choose. The best of both worlds. I am on Simply Filling and like it!! Last night I ate pinto beans from my slow cooker ( no measuring) and cut up red potatoes, sweet onions, bell peppers, tossed with my daily 2tsp. healthy oil, salt, pepper, and Jane's Crazy Salt. Roastd in a hot oven for 30 minures. ( No measuring) I felt satisfied on these power foods quicker than what I anticipated. This morning 2 egg omelet, hashbrowns, 45 calorie toast, bacon, and fat free milk. I am allowed 49 points a week for indulgences and the bacon has been counted. I weighed this morning, and weight has dropped two pounds. I am very interested in this Simply Filling, and knowing I can choose weeks to do points plus is wonderful. The leader said she and everyone she knows has lost on the new program.

Thanks for the update, tissyanne. Be careful with the hash browns, lol.

I am enjoying this discussion. I am a WW lifetime member having lost 40 lbs. to my goal 5 years ago. The weight has snuck up on me over the years, but this past fall it really came on fast after a knee surgery changed my activity. I have been debating about going back as I am up to almost my pre WW weight again and feel lousy. I had heard about changes in the plan and just don't know if I can go through counting again. I agree with cooking lady who said planning the meals was good for her. I always did better when my meals and snacks were all planned for the week. One time our leader brought in a fake glob of fat that indicated 1lb. of fat. When I saw that, I was never ashamed of only losing one pound for the week. It looked disgusting and to think something like that was gone off my body was good. Right now I am trying to just do the "no flour, no sugar" thing to get me started and then I might try going back to WW. This discussion has inspired me. Sounds like bananas are free and I love my Yonana machine, so sounds like a good sub for the shakes, etc. However, I really did like their smoothy packets. Maybe those would mix in good with the bananas for ice cream substitutes.

nomar, now would be a good time to go back. The simple start gives you structure and room for 7 points daily for indulgences, which would include the WW shake. Fruit is free, however as you likely already know, you need to eat until satisfied and then stop. That is a learning curve that I am working on. Best of luck. I will post each week on my progress.

Hello Ladies!

Happy new year & congrats on your WW success!

I joined WW July 2 and get weighed Sunday mornings @ their 8:30a meeting. I attend meetings but do my tracking on line. I reached my goal of 25# on 12/22. Now I am on maintenance. When I began, my "goal" was to lose 5# {#emotions_dlg.scared} so I am thrilled with the results. Now comes the hard part!

I also wear an activity monitor. It gives me a push to move my bu*t a little bit more.

Yesterday I tried on clothes to see what fits. I can fit into old jeans again which I thought I would never be able to do. Also some nice trousers from several years ago fit me again. Great feeling.

I have a stack of XL, XXL and 1X clothing that I will donate. Don't want them in my closets.

Congratulations again!
