Our area was showing the Bears-Falcons game, but they switched to the final minute of Dallas-Seattle. Indy plays Dallas next month, and if things continue like this, that will be a good game.
Crazy stuff going on today in the NFL: San Diego barely beat Oakland; Carolina-Cincinnati ends in a tie. Green Bay scores a winning touchdown at the last second. Anything can happen this season, and probably will.
Tonight's game should be another good one between NYG and Philadelphia.
Hey Tegan....I just didn't understand the Seahawks game plan, Russell Wilson stayed in the pocket and did not use his mobility at all......and that "Legion Of Boom" does have weaknesses.....they could not stop Murray, and then Romo hit some key passes. Although the fumbles gave the Hawks a chance that they did not take advantage of them.......
It's been a topsy turvey season.....weren't the "experts" proclaiming the demise of the Pats, and proclaiming the Bengals as the best team in the NFL earlier ....and look what has happened....yep, I agree Tegan....very interesting season!
My Redskins lost, and from what I saw of it on Red Zone the offense moved the ball nicely and DeSean had some good catches and used his speed to make some good gains. ...it was mostly our defense and our weak secondary that could not stop Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald......And ONCE AGAIN our running game was a no show....Alfred Morris 41 yards ....come on! And then there was Cousins INTs....
CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS!
SHELTIEMOM---I think I jinxed your team....I apologize...

I had picked Seattle to win, but am happy that the Cowboys beat them. I got tired of Sherman talking (his remark about Garcon was NOT cool), so it was good to see them taken down, especially at home.
Washington played a decent game against Arizona. The Cardinals are a tough team, but Washington stayed close until the end.
The Colts play Cincinnati next. I have no idea what to expect from that game. The Bengals seemed to be well-balanced in talent, yet they struggled against Carolina. At least Indy has a lot of time to prepare for that game.

When a guy falls and grabs his knee with no twisting leading to the fall, it's usually a torn patella tendon and sure enough that was the case. He's gone for the year. We've seen quite a few of them in Philly. Nate Allen had one in 2010. Correll Buckhalter had two in his early years here.
The Giants came in and after warming up stood on the Eagles' symbol in the middle of the field and stomped on it and tried to rub it out with their feet. Apparently the Eagles weren't overly happy about that and took it out on Eli Manning and the rest of the Giants.
Darren Sproles knee injury could be an issue, but we've got a kid on the practice squad (Matthew Tucker) we can activate if he's out for long. He won't be Sproles, no one is, but he can give us an extra body at running back.
Hey GARDENMAN---Well are you still celebrating and singing, FLY EAGLES FLY....
. Fantastic game by Chip Kelly and the Eagles.....your O line held up....and your defense played really well and put the pressure on the Giant's line and Eli....all those Giant penalties showed they were totally discombobulated..... CONGRATS! Although your team ruined my DS's birthday celebration..... Funny tweets from NY Giants app, the Giant fans said that they thought The Walking Dead were on AMC......
And that wasn't right what the Giant's players did to your symbol......

I was glad Sherman got it handed to him.....Garcon's revenge in a way from another team in the NFC East...
Indy/Cincy should be a good game....

Not only did my Lions win, we made a fieldgoal!!! Good job to our defense since Megatron and Reggie were both out today, we needed the D to hold strong. Hope they are both back for the Saints game this week!!

It was a good game for us. I think this was the first week we had the same offensive line starting two weeks in a row. It's amazing how much that helps. We have the bye coming up in week seven and then the Cardinals in week eight. Darren Sproles has a mildly sprained MCL, so that's not so bad. They're talking about a two to three week injury. He could even be back for the Cards. We should have Mychal Kendricks back then also and both Evan Mathis and Jason Kelce back by November 10th. This team is getting healthy at a good time. If we can stay healthy once they come back, things should be pretty good for the Eagles. I'm impressed by how well the backups have performed and they're getting better each week.
I love Chip Kelly. One of the reporters asked him today if all of the negativity from the press bothered him and he said no, that he just ignores it since he knows they're wrong. Chip is a very smart man. He's got the press back on their heels a bit and I think he likes playing with them. He's kind of like a wise old house cat playing with mice.
Talk out of Washington is that the Redskins may consider benching Cousins and starting Colt McCoy instead. That situation down there is getting ugly. This should be an interesting off-season for the Redskins. They're likely to end up with a top five to top ten first round pick and a huge question mark at quarterback. Would they consider making another package deal like they did to get RGIII to get Marcus Mariota? What could they get for RGIII, or would they keep him to compete with Mariota? It's going to be pretty interesting watching how things play out in DC this year.

Gardenman.....Your team is getting healthy and the Giants lose Cruz for the season....so it looks like your Eagles and the Cowboys will battle it out for the Division.
No, no, no....Chip is not playing cat and mouse....he's doing his best Spur's Coach Greg Popovich imitation, he's made messing with the media an art form.....
(example, how do you plan to compete for the Championship this season...ANSWER: By scoring more than the opponent!)
As for my Redskins....I just don't know why they abandoned the running game...if Kirk could just cut down on the interceptions....yep I read the rumors about Colt starting too....some fans said maybe we should have brought back Colt Brennan....(former backup from Hawaii that would have fresh pineapples shipped into DC)....Yes, I'm already going over the draft prospects for next year at the safety, D line, and O line positions......Who knows what they will decide to do at the QB position---it's just a mess, and even if they stick with Robert, he is oft injured so they will still need a decent backup! But I'm wondering if he can ever play decent from the pocket and learn to slide and not hesitate on his throws, and improve his footwork....

SPURT. I think RGIII can learn to be a good quarterback, but I'm not sure he can learn to stay healthy. He's just a tick fragile and fragile quarterbacks don't tend to last for long. A good QB coach working with RGIII can fix his throwing/mental issues within a few weeks/months, but fixing the fragility might not be possible. Players are either durable or they're not. A fragile player at any position is a huge handicap for a team, but at quarterback, it's deadly. Teams cut really good players who just can't stay healthy and I'm thinking that's what's likely to happen to RGIII in the not too distant future. Russell Wilson is another smaller guy, but he's durable (or has been so far.) If there's a good, solid, sturdy quarterback on the board when the Redskins pick, they're apt to grab him. Mark Sanchez will likely test free agency this off season too and will likely find multiple suitors given how well he played in the preseason this year. I'm not sure the Redskins would take a chance on him, but he has been fairly durable.

Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck are today's protype QBs......And I was surprised at how tall your Foles is when they showed a clip of him at some charity event....
Unfortunately, I think the Redskins will stand pat with Robert and not admit they made a mistake and gave up too much for someone as fragile as he is, and when they carry him out again and again, on a stretcher, then maybe they will go out and find a QB that is sturdier built and has the skills to be a franchise QB......A better O line would help too.....
The Redskins have cut players that could not stay healthy---Laron Landry for one...any wonder he got suspended for taking performance enchancing drugs while on the Colts...
