Re: Week Five of the NFL Regular season!!!

Yeah, I'm afraid Alex Henery is not the answer at kicker for pretty much anyone anymore. Three years ago when the Eagles drafted him he looked like the long term answer at kicker for the Eagles. He set a record for accuracy and had good length. It was pretty easy to envision him spending his whole career kicking for Philly. Last year was a bit of a mess for him, but he spent the off-season working hard and seemed ready to rebound. Then he had a miserable preseason and the Eagles picked up Cody Parkey (10 of 11 on field goals so far) to replace him and cut him free.

Kickers can go cold and when they go cold they can get a coach fired. Alex Henery is an iceberg right now. Missing three field goals in your redemption effort is horrible. No team will give him another shot this year. He needs to get whatever his problem is squared away, send tape to every team in the league this off season, take a veteran minimum contract for a camp invite, and hope and pray he can out-kick whoever he's competing against. He's very, very close to being out of football and it's a shame as he's been a very good kicker. He just needs to fix whatever is wrong and pray someone gives him a chance.

Re: Week Five of the NFL Regular season!!!

Well predictable outcome for my Redskins....they hung in there for a while...Dilfer criticized Haslett for blitzing so much which turned Russell Wilson loose, but Cris Carter said success against the Seahawks usually results in shutting down Lynch and the running game, which Carter said the Redskins did successfully.....and basically you have to pick your poison with the Seahawks they have so many options on offense including a strong mobile QB whose baseball playing days helped because Wilson also knows how to slide and to avoid injury too....

The score could have been much worse.....{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Re: Week Five of the NFL Regular season!!!

Sherman has said that "Garcon doesn't matter in this league." I know that it's just trash talking, but I happen to like Pierre Garcon and think that he's definitely underrated. However, DeSean Jackson was praised by Sherman. Jackson had a good game against the Seahawks, so Sherman was probably referring to Monday night. His words hit me the wrong way,though, dissing Garcon like that.

Detroit signed Matt Prater and let Henery go. Not surprised there. I don't know of any team who will sign Henery right now.

Re: Week Five of the NFL Regular season!!!

There's kind of a carousel of kickers going on in the NFL. The Eagles cut Henery and wanted to pick up the kicker the Giants would cut. The Giants ended up trading him to the Broncos where Matt Prater had been suspended for the first four games. The Eagles then traded for Parkey from the Colts. The Lions then signed Henery only to cut him and replace him with Prater who the Broncos ended up cutting after their rookie kicker did well.

Being a colts fan I would take Pierre back in a heartbeat. He is so underrated.

Hi Tegan......I like Pierre too, he is a good WR and probably our best WR!!!!--Sherman is a big mouth, he may be talented, but I'm not a fan (of course if I had Stephen A. Smith in my stomach, I don't know how I'd act either (I.E. the Oberto Beef Jerky commercial){#emotions_dlg.laugh}Stephen A and I have many issues {#emotions_dlg.glare} ....And Big deal DeSean FINALLY woke up--And Sherman probably praised DeSean because they were friends on a baseball team when they both were young......they even showed them talking and laughing together during warmups.....and the pre-game even showed their baseball team photo....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}
