~Warning~....Article in AARP Bulletin warns about interactions between drugs and

supplements and two that were mentioned that I thought might be of interest here because I read about people taking them from time to time are:

MELATONIN - Used for insomnia, it can reduce the effectiveness of antidepressant, antianxiety and blood pressure meds. It can increase bleeding risk if you're on a blood-thinner. (And remember aspirin is a blood thinner.)

ZINC - Touted as a defense against colds, excess zinc can cause nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach cramps, diarrhea and headaches. It can interact with a variety of prescription drugs, including antibiotics and hypertension meds.
