Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Today I am going to my son's and watching my GS for a few hours- I hope to get out in nature for a walk this morning.. Haven't been out there for awhile. Save enough energy for the afternoon with GS.. Hopefully he'll want to watch a little football.

My Broncos play the Chiefs- we're underdogs and at home.. It's a big test for us.

One year a puzzle pic with pics of my GS was given to my son- my DH put it together and we had glued and framed - it hung in my GS's room. That's a great gift idea.

@Dazlin  hoping the interview goes well for your younger daughter as well as good outcome with your other daughter's  medical issue. I have a derm appt this coming week - I get checked every 6 months.. I am a fair skinned lady and this intense sun here in CO has not been kind..

@Laura14  We are happy our TV stations are back.. I did apply for the $20 credit from UTube- but my understanding is you have to go into your acct and request it..

Also wanted to say- you may have the crown for finding such good sale items when you shop. Well done. My plan is to get some holiday shopping done next week and I also have 3 important bdays in Dec..

Also agree the price of everything is so high these days. Saying that @bopper  I ordered  a plaid flannel zip hooded jacket/ shirt from LLBean. I have sent 3 jackets back from various companies- hoping this is what I am looking for..  But when has flannel ever been $83  ( including tax) crazy!! I do know for the most part their products last.

@JudyL  we could use some of your rain.. Saw on TV some areas around Pacific Palisades and the like are flooding.. A nice continous rain would be fine. Thinking we'll be getting snow before any rain..

 Have a wondeful day everyone.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@violet runner My entire family is born this time of year which is why I shop early. I couldn't believe all the stuff I got at Walmart on clearance. Part holiday deals, part clearing the shelves. Four tumblers (two 40 oz, 30, and 22) for $35. I can now carry hot stuff to work.

Did some cardio this morning. My watch stopped working at some point yesterday. It didn't capture my strength class where I upped everything and didn't do my sleep last night either. Somehow the bluetooth got turned off. Not happy.

I looked at a new one even though it seems to be okay now that I turned the bluetooth back on. They are on sale but still. If it misbehaves again, I might think about upgrading. Rather not, but we'll see.

Apparently they don't do 7.5 weights. Have to get 8. It's $28 a pair or I can get them, a rack, plus three and five pound weights for $50 at Target. I might do that instead. I earned a $10 coupon with them earlier this year and I might spend it on that.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday. I am looking to meal prep today and relax. I'll see if my team is playing where I can see them. It's been so long...

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.

Thank you all for suggestions and the link for the puzzles.

Also, appreciate the well wishes for my daughters,  thank you!

Soooo, today I made eggplant rollatini,  spaghetti and marinara sauce.

This morning I baked annisette biscotti's....hubby loves them with espresso, and my daughter too...so she'll be getting the foods i prepared as well.

I hate making eggplant....its sooooo much work, but i wanted it.🤷‍♀️.

I'm tired now, need to get out of the kitchen and eat soon.

 Take care all 😍

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Sunday!  Today was 30 minutes on the rebounder to fun music, some vibration plate stretching and stability ball.

It's cold today compared to yesterday!  In the 30's and black ice is starting on the main roads.

Tomorrow would be my mom's 94th Bday.  Miss her everyday!

Hubby came home early from deer camp his asthma was kicking in, so felt like he better be at home.  Camp is musty and something wasn't sitting well with him.

My softshell hooded jacket came from Amazon.  I like it, and think a long sleeve T under it in the car will be good, not bulky and not freezing either.

The Bronco's are playing now, we have it on.

Not much else here tonight, sure seems to get dark early.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

I am barely surviving these Bronco games! Another close one and coming down to seconds for the win.. but we beat the Chiefs- something we don't normally do. I can relax next week- they are on a bye.

Seems like alot of close games yesterday as I checked the scores. @JudyL  your team did well-

@Dazlin  and @Laura14  wish I had the motivation to cook- all your meals and prep ideas put me to shame.

@bopper  Sorry the Lions lost- looked frightfully cold( windy) in Philly.. Maybe the reason for the low score. Think your DH smart to come back home if his asthma was acting up.

Another nice day here.. I have chores and catch up. My GS son was whiny yesterday but we played cards, and folded some paper airplanes and got outside for a little bit.

Tonight even though I don't care for either team, glad I can watch the game. ( Cowboys- Raiders). Nice having Utube  stations back.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Monday, peeps!

I actually took the day off and I am working from home. 🎉 I needed a day and this was a perfect one to take.

Got some cardio and one of my Power classes done this morning. I kept most of my increased weight and made an honest exerciser out of myself.

I was a meal prep fool yesterday. I made garlicky mashed sweet potatoes, creole spiced almonds and cinnamon honey almonds. That was so easy and delicious, shame on me for not doing it before now. If you want a high protein snack, highly recommend.

I also hard boiled some eggs for some chef salads and chopped some cucumbers. I literally cannot fit one more thing in my refrigerator.

I need to go back to baking bread. My last several Ezekiel loafs have had holes in the middle making them completely unusable except to mix in with my soup. That bread is too expensive to waste like that so I am done. I'll make my own.

My Saturday Amazon delivery is supposed to come today. One of my QVC items actually shipped already from Saturday's order (the one I paid shipping for) and my HSN vitamins that were supposed to be here on Thursday are also magically appearing today. 😲 I will take it!

With a day off, I'm not sure what to do first. I think I will stop by my office and run one errand for them before I go back to Walmart and pick up a few more things including bread flour and freezer bags. I might take myself to Target to look at the weight set unless Walmart has something comparable and pop in a few other stores although I need nothing more at this point.

Have a wonderful start to your week all!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Not too much today...im really tired.

Went to TJMAXX, and Hobby Lobby...got 2 decorative Christmas deers for my console.

Then stopped in Rooms to Go,  ordered a living room chair.

I get alot of company, so I chose a deep blue print, not to show soiling.

2 I have that are off white, and I keep throws on them...so annoying to keep fixing,  so one chair will be moved into another room.

I did a few low rep squats, only because I got sooooo sore from doing them last Friday...I needed to get the acid moving, so just a few more today.

I'll move up from there this week...goal is 3 sets, 15 reps.  I do not want to build muscle, so higher reps will be perfect.

I'm catching up on laundry now...so far 2 loads.

@Laura14 ...the almonds sound so good...I keep a bag of pistachios ill occasionally have...had to hide some in a baggy, or someone here will devour them 🙄.

Funny, I also made a bunch of hard boiled eggs.  I bought apple butter too, for toast or English muffin.

@violet runner ...I may cook alot...but I dont do nearly the workout you do, and your walks...and the rest of you here....now that puts me to shame.

I do love to cook, as long as it's not a thousand steps.  It can be very relaxing,  therapeutic, if you will.

I'm also verrrrry picky, so I dont really like a broad menu.

My husband will eat almost anything and he's not afraid to try different foods....not me.

Crazy thing I do too...I dont like my food touching...I keep a space between each food type, then I eat one thing at a time.   My mother used to get so mad at me, and once I became an adult she said, YOU STILL DO THAT!!??

 Alrighty....you guys sound fantastico! 🌞

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good afternoon!  Went to the gym, afterwards went to ULTA and found some things for DD's Christmas stocking.  Think I"m done with that now.  Then ordered some things from Amazon to be delivered today.  It's raining and the temps are supposed to drop this afternoon.  Glad I'm home and don't have to go out again.

Have a good Monday!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, it's sunny day here, and I thank the Lord for it!  The snow is all gone!! Thank you Lord!!!

I did the treadmill and rebounder, and vibration plate.   Had my hair done this afternoon too.   Regrowth and roots.  I love having my hair done!

I don't like any kinds of nuts, I know they are a good source of protein but I just can't.  I admit I am a terrible eater, not junk food but I don't like anything.  Our veggi's are nill, totally my fault!   I did make spaghetti yesterday so having that again tonight.

The Lions didn't look all that good but the wind in Philly was really bad too, not making an excuse for them though, they just didn't have it yesterday.  The Eagles are a good team!   And yes Denver was a tight game, I cheered for them!

Not much else here, just chillin the rest of the day.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hi, today is still sunny and  crisp, taking a lower day today, vibration plate, and outside walk.  The fresh air was really nice and I stood in the woods and it was completely still.

I hope everyone is doing okay today.
