Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

[ Edited ]

Afternoon, everyone!  It's a rainy, windy day but I will gladly accept it.  I don't have to go out and the rain is light.  Last night I could hear sleet hitting the skylight in the bathroom so evidently, the temperature was lower then.

@DrKelli, I haven't been around anybody but my sisters and I were happy for each other...those that finally got the vaccination.  There's six sisters; three of us were anxious to get it, me being the last one to do so.  The other threes sisters for various reasons don't want it.  We messenger on FB everyday.  My village forum gets very excited talking about it, mainly the fact that our county has dropped the ball getting us registered and  locations that are too far.  You shouldn't have to travel 15+ miles to get vaccinated.  I had to go out of my county to get mine.

I did chair exercises this morning for about 30 minutes, then in-place walking for about twenty minutes.  Boring

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone--I've been busy today.  I had a safety meeting at 6 my time and then my trainer workout at 9 and another meeting at noon.  I finally got the entire sidewalk from my house to the corner cleared.  No--this is not my property--the HOA snow removal company is supposed to do it.  They missed a lot of other areas too, but I'm not shoveling anything else.  I'm waiting until tomorrow to try to clear a better path from the deck to the bare grass.  Lexi was clever enough to figure out how to get there by walking on the drift, but I have my two guest dogs back this weekend and I don't think they are that smart.

@Mmsfoxxie I had to drive to the next town--about 15 minutes away for my shot.  I did get the notification for a closer shot, but I already had the other appointment and they were so nice, I didn't mind the drive.  Only 3 weeks from today, I get the second one and I'm so excited.

Hope you all have a good rest of the day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Fireup Friday!   Today is a active rest day for me!   So that means no machines, just ME, Haha so I have been walking a lot today.   Got groceries this morning and then parked by the lake and walked, so nice by the water with blue skies.  Then came home, put it away, made lunch and took another walk on the trail.  Wore the Ice grips today as the trail is packed ice... Now having a cup of Island Coconut coffee and relaxing.   It's nice to have a day like this.

Tomorrow they said 50!   I am astounded it's going to be 50!

Has anyone read The Starch Solution book?  Just courious...

@Mmsfoxxie  glad you got in some movement!   My sisters won't FB, I think that's stupid... Not trying to sound mean but they both live under a rock...It's annoying... they both live here and never see either of them and I mentioned we could have a little meeting regarding dad and how he is doing on FaceTime or Zoom and nope don't want to.   I give up!

@DrKelli Bet you are glad to have the first shot under your belt!   My son got his first yesterday.

Where's everyone else.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone--I've been busy today and I'm having little four legged guests again.  My dance teacher is going away for a couple of days and it's easier for me to watch their kids (dogs) than it is for them to drive to the other side of town for his MIL to watch them.  I think Kevin needs some play time with their younger dog.  The two old ladies (Lexi and Lexi), sit on the couch and watch.

I finally shoveled the 10 feet from my driveway to the street that the HOA is supposed to shovel.  By the time I was done, I was literally rage shoveling.  But the walks are pretty clear now.  The only bad thing is that the melting freezes over night so sometimes there are really slick spots on the sidewalks.

I thought I was going to get a dance lesson in, but the instructor I've been working with tested postitive for covid and won't be back until next week.  This is bad because we have a performance on Friday night (next week) and the routine isn't done yet.  The owner was working with me and he really likes the routine--he told me--You and Jason need to dance that routine in a showcase.

As for the Fauci Ouchie--I didn't have any reaction to the first shot.  My arm was sore for a couple of days, but that was it.  And of course, I have friends that are anti FO and are posting nasty things all over FB.  It's a good thing I unfollowed them because it just makes my blood pressure go up.  I'm about to do that with a cousin of mine.

Tomorrow I am teaching LaBlast, which always makes me expend more energy and I'm trying to convince myself to shave the only long hair I have left--which is a really small amount-down to the length of my regrowth.  I'm getting my hair colored tomorrow so I'll get to see how much regrowth I have--it's all white so I can't really see it LOL!!

Hope you all have a good weekend!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Afternoon, ladies.

@bopper, I've never face timed but my sisters and I do zoom.  I don't mind with them but I declined a zoom birthday party with my red hatter group.  I mean, it just didn't make sense to me to dress up in my red and purple, supplying my own food, etc sitting by myself and call it a party, lol.

@DrKelli, I hope you haven't been around your dance partner in the few days!  Glad you have a sense of humor about your hair.  Patience!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Monday everyone!  It's a beautiful day!

Well, I'm off to get my final Pfizer.  I'm trying not to think about possible side effects.  I had a conversation with my doctor via the medical portal and he said to take either Tylenol of ibuprofen if necessary but preferably Tylenol.  I've never been a Tylenol person, though.  Anyway, just in case, I've cleared two days of my "busy" schedule just in case of issues.

Enjoy your day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all!

@Mmsfoxxie don't take a pain reliever before you get your shot.  There is concern that the vaccine isn't as effective if you do that.  You can take it afterwards though. I had to stop prednisone for 4 days when I got mine. I was supposed to stop a couple days prior, but didn't find out until I was at my derm's office the day before!!

No exercise for me today because I am having a little procedure done and you can't elevate your heart rate before or for 2 days after.  Nothing major, so don't worry.  I got my exercise shoveling this morning!  We didn't have much snow, but it was enough to shovel and it was heavy and wet.  I'm getting to the point in the year that I loathe ANY snow we get.  I know we need it, but I still hate it.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

@Mmsfoxxie good luck with your second vaccine.  I didn't have any issues after mine.  Arm may have been a little sore so took tylenol afterwards but it was pretty minor.

@DrKelli good luck with your "little procedure."  Hope all goes well.  Sorry to hear about your dance partner getting covid.  Hope you'll be ok.

Not much here.  Just staying home, working, and wearing my boot!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Monday!    We had 50 and sunny today..  Tomorrow and Wednesday cold rain and 40.  Ughhhhh  as long as it isn't white I"ll deal with it.

I didn't have any reaction to my 2nd Pfizer shot so praying you don't either @Mmsfoxxie .

@DrKelli hope the procedure goes well!   Now I just saw a shooting in a grocery store in Boulder.   I hate what is happening in our world.   Denver is like 30 miles away according to Alexa.   Dog sitting sounds like of fun actually.  Logan wouldn't go for it though.

I did 30 minutes on TG today with Cathe legs and Abs.   Had 20 extra # on the weight bar for the squat section, then did 40 minutes of I Jump Instead and a doggie walk.

Did I post yesterday I don't even remember.   Anyways it was beautiful day and we just hung out and did a little yard stuff.

Hopefully everyone can get a vaccine soon!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, group!

Well, my second vaccination experience didn't go well.  I had a feeling I'd be sick so I asked the nurse before my injection could I take a Dramamine when I got home, if necessary.  She said that would be fine.  Nausea started about 15 minutes from home.  I stopped at the Culver's by my house but did the drive thru cause of feeling bad.  Took a Dramamine while I waited.  Got home, threw the bag of food on the counter and went upstairs to lay down, letting the window up first cause I was so hot.  Slightest movement of my head made me feel worse.  This was around 11 am.  Didn't get better til around 4 pm.  No headache til last night but it was slight so I didn't have to take anything for it.

Hubby said that when he came to check on me, I was asleep.  Medications often make me nauseous.  Pain meds do that.  Anesthesia, too.  But.....glad I got it done and it's over.

Gonna lay around today, no energy at all.  Retirement really comes in handy sometimes.  Oh....strange but my arm barely hurts.  This stuff has a mind of its own, lol.

Enjoy your day!
