Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Wow, I think it's been a while.  It has been a week.  I got sent home from work today because there was a protest near us and they had to cut the electricity as a precaution so I did my last two work hours at home.

Actually, I did one hour of work and one hour of a cycle class.  My stationary bike is not as souped up as the real ride bikes but I did really well.  I am beyond tired and my heart rate was up most of the time.

I also did the yoga for arms this morning and I might do the full body stretch scheduled for tomorrow right now as my big cool down for stress and cycle class.

I also did a core class yesterday and the yard work is no joke this time of the year.  I'll be back at that in a day or two depending on rain.  It's like a jungle again every five days.

Keeping up with my yoga every day too.  Hope everyone is having a good and peaceful week.  Heart  TGIF tomorrow.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Friday!    Today I actually did take a  Yoga rest day I did walk after I got groceries and made some bread not breadmaker either the real old fashioned way.  I have been making my own bread for my husbands lunches since the pandemic.

It was raining this morning but cleared up now and got humid.

@Laura14 do you do the online classes on your bike?   I have a stationary bike but it isn't a spin bike and its awkward to stand up and pedal as my knees hit the handle bars.

Well our salons are finally going to be allowed to open.  I heard only Michigan and New Jersey were the last ones to open.   I can't tell you how happy that made me!

Not much going on here which is okay with me.   Stay safe everyone.

[ Edited ]

Hi everyone,

Just stopping by to say hi. My achilles tendonitis is really flared up so I didn't do LaBlast today. I still have weight training this afternoon though.  I did get the aeroski put together.  There were reviews on  Amazon  that said it was hard--after I got all the pieces liberated from their plastic wrap, it took me around 15 minutes and it was probably more like 10.  The box it came in was unwieldly though.

Tomorrow I have Lablast at tthe studio followed by an hour of ensemble practice.

Bad news at the dentist--I have to get a crown on one of my molars.  It had a rough edge so i thought I broke part of it off.  The filling in there now is really big and the tooth is probably more filling than tooth, so the dentist told me that he would probably break the tooth if he tried to fix it--so here comes another crown.  I go back on Tuesday for the prep and then 2 weeks after that for the permanent crown.  My dentist told me that he isn't going to leave his patients hanging, that he is open for business with all precautions in place.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Hi Everyone!   Checking in.  Yesterday it was really warm here now today its cool, foggy, and gray.

Today I did the yoga for the day with Adrienne.  It was 45 minutes long so didn't do anything else.  May do something later after work depending on how I feel.

@bopper I'm really impressed you are making bread the "old-fashioned way."  I'll do bread in the breadmaker but thats it.  In fact, haven't made any bread recently so think I will this weekend.

Not much else to report here.  Take care

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper I use YouTube for the cycle classes. My bike is not meant to stand up on so I just do the whole class seated and adjust the tension as needed. It's actually a harder workout when you don't give your legs a break and keep them engaged the whole time.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

@DrKelli, don't forget your checkbook or credit card.  Crowns are expensive even if you have a credit card!

I have a cleaning on the 11th with my hygienist.  They're going to text me a questionnaire to fill out a couple of days before that.  If I pass the questionnaire, I drive to the office, call when I get there and then wait for them to call me in.  Once in, I get my temperature taken.  Whew!  Lord, please don't let me forget my cell phone that day.  I'm known for doing that.

Went to get my car washed this morning....hadn't been washed in months.  I got gas this week for the first time since the first week of March.  Hardly any driving so no wash or gas needed.  At least that was a little money saved.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Hi Bopper! Yes, I'm around. I check in to see how everyone is doing. It seems like you have everyone toeing the line. They obviously know not to undermine you! I am trying to stay out of your line of vision. My report is the same as always-I get on a roll and then I don't. Every Monday - gonna start!

I'm really happy to see everyone working out so well. Drkelli- with all of her classes, mmsfoxxie doing her stairs, Laura doing yoga, MickD running, you doing your variety and even JudyL sticking with it!

But I am really glad to see everyone is healthy and making the best of all the chaos.

Hi to all of you!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Did the complete body workout while bopping to my 80s music.  So glad a long, challenging one is done.

Probably get to the yard work this afternoon which means I will be a hurt puppy tonight.  Got the hot bath all planned.

Enjoy the weekend all.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning from the Bay Area.  Nice cool-ish day here.  Did Adriene's yoga for today and whoa was it challenging.  Was able to do most of it and what couldn't be done was modified a bit.  It was a one hour video which I wasn't sure I could do.  But I'm proud of myself for making it through and doing yoga for 6 days in a row!  Thats a big deal for me as I don't think I"ve ever worked out 6 days in a row.  Am a little sore but not uncomfortably sore.

Don't have any plans for the weekend other than the usual stuff of laundry, grocery shopping, etc.  I'm working on a scrapbook of the trip my DD and I took to NYC so will do that for a bit.  Hard to believe that was 3 years ago already.  Having something creative to divert my thoughts/attention seems to help me during all this craziness.

Hope you all have a good day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

@JudyL That sounds like a pretty perfect weekend.  Congrats on getting through the yoga.  That was a toughie.

I think I might buy my first set of Lock and Lock and jump in on the tsv for tomorrow.  I prepped a bunch of salads this week and I loved the grab and go with some different toppings I had at hand.  It was so easy and I realized I needed to get back to that.  I also need some large containers for my different flours for my bread and other baking.

Anyway, yard work done with an almost heat stroke.  It is wickedly hot here and it's not 90 yet.  ☹️.

Speaking of food, off to the grocer at some point to stock up again.  The cupboards are bare.
