Good Tuesday Morning,
Hard to believe we are entering another New Year in a Virus state! Lets all hope and pray this new year will be better and we can get rid of this once and for all! Blessings to all those who have left us because of this illness and have left family members alone. We just need to unite and support each other and be kind and remember we are not wearing their shoes, we may think we know how they are feeling but in some instances we don't. We just have to be there for them and let them know we care about them and not judge ( which can be hard) and let God guide us to do the right thing.
Okay off the sermon.
I'll be doing a spinning workout this morning and a strength workout with Kaleigh. Probably more shoveling like yesterday and it's so icy under the snow. I don't need to fall thats for sure!
A new Thread will begin and a New Year and lets all just try and not be so hard on ourselves and be thankful for our health and the fact we really do more than a lot of other folks and we are thankful we have our bodies that are able to do that!!
Blessings,
Bopper

@bopper nice sediment.. And yes, lets hope 2022 is rhe year we have this virus manageable. Thanks for starting the new Jan. thread.
I went to the rec center this morning.. A little busier than normal. It's colder here and I imagine some are into the whole new year's resolution of this is the year I will workout, eat right, etc. Usually more there for the next 2 weeks and then it'll wane again.. I still go when they open and its quieter than an hour later. Did weights and rowing machine today. I do plan to get outside- adding layers-still need that daily fresh air fix!
Have a good Tues everyone.

Well, I was wrong saying that my husband's Covid test would probably be negative. He was positive, after all. He felt a little bad with cough Saturday and started to feel better Sunday evening. Monday, even though he felt better, he went to get tested. The doctor called this morning to say he was positive.
One of my sisters, who isn't vaccinated, right away shared that that was one of the reasons she and he husband didn't get vaccinated (other reason is religion), people still get Covid. I told her that while that is true, I feel safer with the vaccinations. Who knows how sick my husband would have been without his vaccinations. I'm tired of dealing/debating this issue.

@Mmsfoxxie I am so sorry! I am sure you will both stay well especially with your vaccination status but I'll be thinking and worrying about you both. ![]()

@Mmsfoxxie - I am so sorry to hear about your DH but glad that he got tested. Also glad you are both vaccinated as he won't be as sick as if he wasn't vaccinated. I'll keep you both in my prayers. I understand about being tired of dealing with/debating the issue. It is exhausting and there is no changing some people's mind. Please take care and check in to let us know how you both are doing.

Anchor in Hope yoga today. Got a super sleep score last night. I knew my job was going to kill me on activity points and it is. Trying to get up and walk a bit more there. I really like my tracker.
Almost time to say bye to the holidays. One more birthday cake this week and then back to basics. Can't wait. Have my 2022 plans in hand.
Have a great Wednesday all.
Stay well.

Good morning, good people! It snowed most of the afternoon yesterday. Little more than an inch in my area, I'm guessing. Most importantly, the driveway didn't hold onto it as far as I can see this morning. Still kind of dar outside so I might be wrong.
Well, if you have to test positive for Covid, I hope your case is a mild as my husband's. He's had colds worst than this with longer discomfort days. Saturday and Sunday, he felt bad. Monday, a litttle bad but tolerable. He's staying in the family room as the contaminated area and if I have to go through it to get to the garage for various things stored there, I wear my mask. I wear it in the kitchen, also. Canceled my Thursday dental appointment in consideration of the hygienist even though I'm ok.
This morning, I'll be doing walking type exercises for about an hour. And going up and down the stairs making myself available for hubby's needs and wants cause I really don't want him in the kitchen touching stuff that I'll have to sanitize again. We are so blessed!!
Have a beautiful day everyone!

Hi all! I'm back home after the Big Adventure to Arizona. My dogs did pretty well in the car, but I think they were as glad to be home as I was yesterday. I'm sure it was stressful to spend 8 hours a day (for 4 days--2 there and 2 back) and in a hotel, going and coming. I found out my Lexi girl is pretty much totally blind after she tried to fall down 2 flights of stairs at the hotel. It was good that I had her on a leash. Once the second time happened, I carried her down the stairs when we went out to potty. I managed to time my trip back home between big storms, so I had mostly good roads. The wind was miserable though. After we got home, the dogs came inside, got a drink of water, went outside to let the neighbors know they were home and then crashed on the couch.
With all the airline cancellations, I think I made the right decision to drive.
I didn't get much working out in, but I will start up again tomorrow.
@Mmsfoxxie I'm sorry that you now have Covid in your home. I hope your husband recovers quickly.
@hckynutjohn was it your Toby that crossed the bridge? I'm sorry if that is the case.
I hope you all had a great holiday and I'm looking forward to a better 2022!

Okay here is your laugh for the day. My tracker is built so that you can tell it you are about to exercise and what you're about to do. So I hit yoga and then you have to stop the timer when you are done.
Totally forgot to stop it this morning until my wrist buzzed and I got a congratulations for a one hour workout milestone. I assumed that meant it stopped itself and I decided to take the extra 30 minutes since I started it late yesterday so off to work I go.
But my tracker kept buzzing me periodically to congratulate me on the hour workout. Wow! This is some really good motivation that it keeps telling me congrats throughout the day but at work it becomes a bit annoying so I finally take a look and realize it never stopped itself. It thinks I am still going.
I have done a 6 hour yoga session today.
After I rolled around on the floor laughing, I stopped it. Whew! Those six hour yoga sessions that involve driving to work and a staff meeting and regular office duties are murder! Can't wait to see how many activity points get today. ![]()
