Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Wow, I better step it up with all you guys going pain no gain. Well done! 👏

The Red Cross guy said to take it easy the rest of the day after my donation, so I'll step it up tomorrow. 🤣

I am ready for my Eagles to remember who the ****** they are and clinch the NFC East tonight.

Let's get ready for some football!

@bopper We are forecast to be 72 on Christmas Day. I may break out the shorts. 🍹

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

  • Hi everyone...hope your Saturday is going well!!

I did a 30 minute walk earlier....took a break between chores to get it done.  It was nice.

No leg exercises today...did that yesterday.

Was 45 here this morning, now we're in 70's.

Im still wrapping gifts as they're coming in...think the last has arrived today.

Im staying ahead with cleaning and keeping things tidied up, so i can concentrate on cooking, and some baking this week.  Floors are done, and laundry is going on.

Today I made us a crispy fried breaded flounder fillets I serve on open buttered toasted rolls with fresh sliced tomatoes and a few thinly slice oinions.

@JudyL , could you possibly get a storm door with an interchangeable glass panel?  That way you can leave the door open, yet have insulation from the glass.

I have the kind that slides up for the glass, or lowers for screen...nothing to change out.

Our pets sure have us trained.

 Ill be back outside later...🚶‍♀️

 Enjoy your Saturday night 🎄

Hi @Dazlin  - our doors sounds the same.  When I say "screen door" I mean a glass door and the top part of the glass door lowers down and there is a screen.  The bottom half of the door is all glass.  I just call it a "screen door" cuz it's easier to do that.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning everyone.. First offical day of winter.. For most, it's been here awhile.

The wind here has subsided- and I hope people of CO have their power back..

Congrats on your Eagles @Laura14 - they looked good yesterday and I know you wanted the Bears to win @bopper , but my DH was pretty vocale about his Packers last night. I thought the game was weird.. like did either team want to win? I was saddened to see the QB for the Packers get hurt- haven't seen an update. Seems like so many injuries this year. I thought the Pack beat themselves last night..  Good win for the Bears..

Some good games today .. My Broncos play this afternoon and then have a quick turnaround and play on Xmas night.

I am going to walk and meet a friend for coffee at 9..  I have chores around here which I will try to get done and then settle in for the game.

Tomorrow early bfast meet up with my son. His 43rd bday- is it your Mom's bday too @Laura14 ?

I feel a little stressed with the prepping aspect of Xmas- For me, it'll be Xmas Eve Day.. After that, smooth sailing.

When I was at the butcher shop I picked up a frozen 2# ham loaf.. Similar to meatloaf only made with ground ham and other spices. Have had that several times for Xmas dinner and if there are no leftovers from Xmas Eve- I'll throw that in the oven. It'll be just my DH and myself, so plenty of leftovers. Makes great sandwiches.

Well, I have rambled on.. Have a wonderful Sunday and Go Broncos!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@JudyL They won? 🎉🦅 I stopped watching because I just couldn't. 🫣 I will watch the replay today.

@violet runner My mom's birthday is tomorrow. We are celebrating tonight. I managed to get a card for tomorrow's extra gifts. Happy Birthday to your son! 🎂

@bopper And the Bears! You guys got the Pope and a good football team. Cubs in the playoffs.  It's been a good year for the Windy City. I think my Eagles might be in trouble...

I slept in and I too am still exhausted. I have to see family tonight, work starts again tomorrow, and I have two birthday cakes, lasagna, and Italian green beans to make for Christmas Eve. I guess I will do that Tuesday night.

@Dazlin Your cooking puts me to shame. And your work ethic.

Can't wait for Christmas Day which is usually to myself. I might take myself to the movies to just have a moment.

These birthdays around the holidays kill me and I have another one next week. We are being told to celebrate it on Christmas Eve with special shirts and everything. I am really over being ambushed, but good.

For the first time in decades, I am calling off and spending New Years alone. I didn't get invited to my sister's holiday party on Friday and got a ridiculous apology the next day. I'm still waiting for the one about my niece's birthday dinner in August. I plan to drop her gift next week or maybe bring it to Christmas and say Happy Birthday, and done, done, done.

Mossa sent out a new weekly challenge so I do get to do my Power classes this week. I found this doctor on YouTube last night about things to do later in life and how to get rid of visceral fat. I used to do some of it and I do do a lot of it, but I definitely need a new routine.

Getting back to basics! Happy Sunday all!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

[ Edited ]

Good morning.

Chilly gray day here and rain is on the way - or so they say.  Will be a relaxing, football type of day here.

I'm also charging up all my Halo portable phone chargers.  Not far from here there have been over 150 small, what they call swarms, of earthquakes - 3.0 and under.  They have been happening for a few weeks.  I haven't felt any but my sister has.  Friday evening there was one that was 4.0.  Those you can feel.  Was looking at the USGS website and faults along the west coast into Alaska have been active.  Call me paranoid - I was here in the 89 earthquake and that left lasting trauma for me - but I'm a bit nervous.  Pressure is building.  It is a myth that earthquakes release pressure.  They do not.  Pressure builds and then it's gotta give at some point.  So, a couple weeks ago I caved and bought the Halo Bolt that QVC was offering.  Went back and forth if it was really necessary.  Thought the presentations were more instilling fear in people than anything else.  Was thinking once it arrived, that I'd return it.  Now, I may be changing my mind.  Think I'll be charging that up today also.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Sunday, I got it done this morning.   Total Gym for 50 minutes, vibration plate warmup and reformer cool down.

The sun is peaking out, such a nice thing to see.   Our temp is 19, right now.  The week isn't supposed to have any major storms thank goodness.

@Laura14 I didn't stay up to see the OT, the Bears came back!  Wow!    Now my Lions will play the Steelers this afternoon.   Family get togethers can be "to much"   Quiet sounds rather good actually.   Christmas Day we have nothing and we never do anything on NY Eve either and I'm good with it.   I really don't get out enough though, I'm not much of a social butterfly, I enjoy myself when I am at friends though.

Happy Birthday to all the December babies.  Dads was the 2nd and he celebrated in heaven.  Hard to believe he's been gone 3 years.

@Dazlin you are a good cook, I second @Laura14 , everything you make sounds delicious!  We actually ordered the Kansas City Steak box, came this week, so will try that tonight when we are watching football.

@JudyL stay safe, and yes charge everything up.  Good afternoon for games!

@violet runner A big Happy Birthday to your son.  My son told me his power came back on yesterday, yay!!!   And my Grandson's Basketball won the championships for his age group.   He's in 2nd grade.

Not much else here, I have food to prepare for Christmas eve but to early to do it yet.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@JudyL Charge it! We deal with the hurricanes on this end and you want that Bolt charged in the event of a natural disaster. I hope you never use it, but definitely get it ready. I keep mine ready too.

@bopper They just sent out everyone's dinner orders for tonight that we all sent in via text this week. Somehow everyone got ordered except mine. I will be eating at home and then going up. Doing your own thing is where it's at!

I can not wait until the holidays are done!

@Laura14  - I will charge the BOLT once the phone chargers are done.  I also put in an order on Amazon for "AA," "C," and "D" batteries this morning.  They will be here this afternoon.  I have lots of flameless candles that can be used for light also.  Call me a little paranoid, that's ok, I'd rather have all this stuff if anything happens, than to be sitting here saying to myself "why didn't I get those batteries" or "why didn't I charge that Bolt," etc.  When I ordered the batteries, I forgot that I had 2 Revlon lip balms in my cart and those got included too.  LOL  Even in earthquake preparedness, a girl has to have her lips on.
