@Laura14  - On the day the Luke and Laura wedding was to be televised, I was in the hospital recuperating from surgery.  Was to be discharged that day so told the Dr., that he'd better come early in the morning and discharge me so that I could be home in time to watch General Hospital and see Luke and Laura get married.  HAHAHA

Hi Everyone.  It's almost afternoon here.  Chilly somewhat cloudy day.  Expecting rain to start tonight and be off and on through next week.  Sometimes it'll be heavy but not as bad as what poor Washington state is getting.

Today was a short day at the gym.  Did 17 minutes - just couldn't get to the 20 minute mark - on the elliptical.  Slowly increasing time and endurance on that darn machine. Seems to be taking forever. Then I did only one machine.  It was one that my trainer and I didn't get to yesterday.  

Now I'm home, feeling a bit more energized than I felt earlier.  Not sure what the day will bring but probably won't go out again.

Hello everyone, well the temp is at 30 but the windchill is at 10.   Brrrr  so jealous of CO family where it's 65!!  Seriously!!

Today was Treadmill and vibration plate, rebounder mixed in throughout the day.

Had hair appt. this afternoon, got the white stripe covered~  

I never watched General Hospital but I of course knew his character.  My soaps now are Y&R and B&B.  

I'm a little sore from yesterdays upper body workout, so that's good.   Tomorrow I will do lower body.

Had a pork loin in my crockpot all day, and fork tender.

@JudyL it's an inside kind of day here too.  Hope Willow is good!

 Batten down the hatches!! We could get a wind event today. I have gotten 2 emails and texts and the news is reporting to be prepared. Excel may do a brown out for 6 hours to help prevent fires ( turning power off). Last time we got winds this high ( predicted) it caused the Marshall Fire and many homes destoyed. And Excel was held libel for $450 million. Since we have had warm weather and no snow- it could be similar today if predictions are correct. Not looking forward to a day like this.. but Mother Nature is rhe boss. 

If I can get going early when the sun comes up- I'll get a walk in - so far all is quiet.

 @Dazlin  if power holds I am going to make broccoli soup today.

   I was a GH soap watcher weh Luke and Laura got married.. and eventually started watching Days of Our Lives.  It was the era of good soap watching!! 

 @bopper  pork loin sounded good. I haven't made one in a long time.  Yum!

Just finished R30 and went for a bike ride while listening to a Real Housewives podcast. 🤣 I have sunk this low, people.

Good morning!  Light rain happening here this morning.  Willow insisted on me opening the door so she could watch the rain on the porch.  She loves watching the rain.  I did open the door for a bit - she is the boss around here - but once the heater kicked in, I shut it.

Today  is rest day for me - it's a Mah Jong day.  Not looking forward to driving so far in the rain but it should be done by the time I leave.

@Laura14  - I think I may be one of the few people who have never watched any Real Housewives shows. LOL

Hello, this morning I hopped on my Total gym and worked out with youtube and David's Total Fitness, all lower body, including squats, 1 leg squats, lunges, side squats, and rear squats.  Also used my lat pull down machine, rebounder and vibration plate.  

The sun is trying to shine, before this major system comes in starting with freezing rain, and changing over.  Changed my grocery day to tomorrow morning so I will be ahead of the system.

I have not ever watched housewives haha!   I hear Survivor will most likely be pre empted because the President will be talking, ughhh.   

I have leftover pork so making pulled pork sandwiches tonight.  It was so tender, like fork tender in my crockpot!  

@Dazlin I'm also getting the ingred. tomorrow for that soup!!!  And it will be the perfect day for it!

Hi to all!!

 Not much in the exercise department...I went to the outlets Monday...they're near me, about 15 minutes away.

Yesterday I felt like I was getting sick, all achey, and back was hurting. 

I tried leg exercises anyway, but it hurt my back, so I stopped...didn't even go walk, felt out of out.  Took Aleve by evening and today i felt all better...so I went to World Market and the Mall...trying to finish up some gifts.  Thankfully nothing was crowded and the mall was dead.   I hate this mall anyway...I hardly ever go.  So many stores closed too...alot moved to the outlets.  But Macy's closed and Sears, and a bunch of other stores years ago and nothing has replaced them. Dillard's and Jc Penny are the only department stores left.  All said, I didn't do too good...just a robe for daughter at Victoria Secret.

 I already got them other things, so it looks like the rest will be gift cards.

 Anyway as usual I got my chores done...I never take a do nothing day, and I always get ready and dressed...I feel better to get something done.

I made shrimp marinara w/ spaghetti this week...been having leftovers. 

Hubs can't eat pasta every day...so today was steak and baked potato for him, when I got home.

 Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back on track...honestly I wasn't too worried because its not like it helps the weight come down....I just do it for health and strength.

Hi Everyone!  Thought I better stop by before the end of the year . . .

Chiming in on the Luke and Laura wedding--it wasn't my soap, but I had to see the biggest wedding in Soap Opera history--I was in college and think I ditched a class to watch it in the Pizza Hut on campus. They had a big screen TV and I had a front row seat and was on the front page of the Boulder newspaper the next day LOL!

I haven't gotten a whole lot of excercise but have committed to be better in the New Year. I can't wait for this stupid year to be over with. Good riddance. I did take up pickleball and play just about every week.  I play Ladies Night twice a month and I have a core group of 4 and we seem to get in some court time every other week--sometimes it's hard to get court time.  I start a league at the end of January. It's a different one than I played this fall--that was just too late for me.  This new league is Sunday afternoons and is a bit further than the other one, but it will be better for me since I do not sleep well on Sunday nights.
