Thanks John, I sure will!!   We're hanging in there, each day is a gift!

Do you mean on FB?   Because it says we already are friends.

It says you have to log in on Messenger before you can see any messages, so I can't even send one yet.

Re: WELCOME TO THE AUGUST EXERCISE THREAD AND MORE

Happy August..  Continuing from the July  forum- just wanted to say I could get into chat gpt without signing in.. It's a useful tool..

I have an appt with Planet Fitness this morning. My rec center is closing for 2 weeks- new flooring- deep cleaning etc.. usually its only a week and I dont' do anything about it.

This time I figure I better find a place- with my insurance I can go anywhere- just have to give the places a code so they can charge.. I dont' think I need an orientation, but I'll go-. I could also go to Gold's Gym or  YMCA too- but PF is only a little over a mile away.

Hopefully get out for a walk again too. It's going to be cool enough- yet warming up again..  Much less humid than it's been lately.

Have a good day- I'm sipping some coffee and enjoying the quiet!

Re: WELCOME TO THE AUGUST EXERCISE THREAD AND MORE

Checking in before I go enjoy the weekend! I did my Power class tonight so I have two small ten minute classes left over the weekend and another challenge is in the books.

I just got an email from Mossa that they are leaving my annual renewal rate alone for the next two years. 🎉🎉 Sounds like the monthly peeps are getting a hike.

They have some cool things coming too including a new HIIT class. I was just thinking I need to get back to that since my buddy chatgpt recommended it especially for women my age and they read my mind!

I also ran to Walmart tonight to get some deep woods off. I have never needed bug spray ever in the park and the past two times I have been bitten on my ankles and it itches for weeks. I think it's from going off path which I never do, but have the last couple times because of the deer and fawns. It looks like a rainout on Monday, but we'll see. They haven't been right yet this week.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Re: WELCOME TO THE AUGUST EXERCISE THREAD AND MORE

Happy Friday and August 1~   Where has summer gone.   I know right, hot hot hot!

We have the bad smoke again, and through tomorrow.  They keep extending it.

Sort of a rest day, 20 minutes rebounder, 10 minutes vibration plate.

The mosquitoes here are terrible!

Grilled salmon tonight, so good!

Almost time for this girl to turn in for the night!    Keep pushing play!

Re: WELCOME TO THE AUGUST EXERCISE THREAD AND MORE

Happy Saturday,

Finished up my challenge for the week. 🎉

I prepped my cucumbers and I have been trying out my new pea protein powder. It's quite dense, but I find that it works well in my almond milk. Ten grams of protein per scoop!

Currently working on laundry and cleaning the bathroom. Hope everyone else is having a more exciting day.

Re: WELCOME TO THE AUGUST EXERCISE THREAD AND MORE

I have been walking 3+ miles a day this week and yesterday was my 2nd weight day. I have to do weights again tomorrow in order to meet my goal of 3 days a week. I ran in a 5K race this morning. I had quit running but couldn't resist this race.

In order to meet my protein goals, and hopefully help my bones, I have collagen powder (18 grams) and pasture raised, grass fed beef gelatin which is 10-15 grams depending on how much I use. I put the gelatin in a hot drink. Some people make gummies with fruit juice. I may try that some day.  I usually have some greek yogurt with frozen blueberries for an afternoon snack which is 18 grams of protein.

I am on day 2 of trying to be serious to lose those 10 lbs. It is important to keep protein levels in range so I don't lose muscle instead of fat. My bones need the protein too. I'm taking it slow this time because cutting too many calories always backfires on me.

I don't know what happened here yesterday but the type is so small when I am trying to read and write. It is still doing it today. I looked at my settings and have no clue how to correct it.  Makes my eyes so tired trying to read here.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

Re: WELCOME TO THE AUGUST EXERCISE THREAD AND MORE

I thought our hot weather might be waning.. but looks like next mid week- we'll be near 100 again.. UGH! That being said- I got out walking yesterday and today plan to be somewhere in nature.. I would head to the mts for a change, but it's too crowded on weekends. Soon though.

Also going to pick apples from the city orchard ( free)

@bopper  have had many summers enduring smoke from fires.. Hopefully things will get better in your area. Fortunately this hasn't been one of those summers for us. We've had fires, just not  any smoke from them.

@lizzys  and @Laura14 - thanks for the protein suggestions.. I did better yesterday, but still on the low side. Baby steps!

 Have a wonderful day.
