Vitamin D

Apparently I am Vitamin D deficient. A normal test result is 50, a "low" result is less than 30...my result came in at 8. I am now taking a once a week mega dose, for the next two months. Then more blood work. Anyone experience this? The only clue I had was feeling a lot of mystery joint aches and pains. I'm a little concerned the doctor is also testing me for celiac.
