So, I tried to do everything right.....went to the doctor's to get a test to see if I was low on Vitamin D.....The test came back as low, but not abnormally so. I asked the doctor what I should take as a supplement, he said they usually prescribe Caltrate + Vitamin D for osteoporosis. I said I didn't want to take that because I don't have osteoporosis. I just want to take a Vit. D supplement. He didn't know or wasn't sure how many I.U.'s to recommend, which I found incredible. I'm just looking for a good baseline dose to take, don't want to overdose on this.....Any information on what is a good, standard dose?
