Here is a partial picture of me wearing this lovely fashion item while traveling:

It was comfortable ... I will know in a week or two if it kept me well! 

Got this suggestion from my stylist...a “guru” who really is a great source for almost everything! She was tired of always getting ill after flying, too, and has been wearing this brand of mask. I think it is comfortable.

During my doctor visit, last week, she said this time of year a lot of people travel —getting away after the holidays. She said one person coughs, and that’s it.. the whole plane/boat gets infected.

Interesting.  I see more and more people wearing masks out in public, for I assume, the same reason as you, but they appear to be regular surgical masks.  What is the benefit to your mask, @LTT1?

Since wearing this mask, I like having an exhale outlet! The design of this mask is more contoured and therefore more comfortable for long periods of time.

i was told that the disposable masks from the doctors office do not really shield from anything, due to the lack of fit, but this information is “hearsay” evidence to me at this time.

Thanks for sharing @LTT1!  I'm super interested in this since we'll be flying next month.  Granted the flight is only 2.5 hrs. but like your doctor said, one cough from someone could be all it takes.  I still don't want to catch any random bugs on the way down and then end up sick during our long awaited cruise.  I wonder if I can talk DH into wearing one?

I will bet if someone had been spluttering nearby, he would have asked for me to reach down and hand it to him!💗
