Been there, done that.

If it isn't TMI 😬get a large box of big pads on the ready.

The pain isn't the worst and only lasts for day or so.

@PINKdogWOOD

My OB/GYN no longer requires yearly exams for patients over 65 who are not sexually active, had 5+ years of normal paps, and do not have HPV.

I had it done a few years ago.  No big deal.  They knock you out with profofol so there's no big hangover.  I went about my business the next day.  I didn't think it was any worse than a colonoscopy.

@smoochy --yes I have had a couple in my life-- the last one was in 2021 and it was not bad at all. Was in and out within a few hours--it was done under a general for me--had mild cramping and slight blood spotting  for a few days, but OTC pain meds took care of that. Mine was to investigate why my uterus walls  were thickened--turned out it was  from me taking tamoxifen for almost 10 years due to cancer--tamox is an estrogen blocker as my cancer was hormone postitive--so it block any hormones. Google it---mine was textbook

Hi @smoochy

I am probably late to be posting this, as you've probably already had your procedure! I have had a couple of D&Cs and not too long ago. I know everyone is different, but for me, thankfully, it was a piece of cake! Very easy and didn't even feel like I had anything done. I went to a concert the day after one of them ... felt nothing at all, zero pain at all. I hope this was the same situation with you, and that all turned out well! 🥰
