My mother was taking thyroid replacement when she was in her early 40s and my brother is taking it but I don't know when he started.  In the past my GP said hormones are nothing to fool around with and I can understand his thinking.  I want to feel better and have more energy to do what I have to do.  I let things go because I feel tired.  I won't take a nap in the daytime because I feel worse and more tired.  I sleep 8 to 10 hours a night, sometimes I feel I had a good sleep but most nights I toss and turn a lot.  I sent a message to my GP and he said he agrees I should see someone for my thyroid.  I go out of the clinic and see doctors elsewhere because I prefer to choose my doctor.  I didn't belong to this clinic years ago and had to go to the city so I continue to go to the city.  Better doctors in the city anyway.

Kismet:  I remember those feelings from way back but I know they will get much better once you have seen a specialist.  Please do not wait - you need to get your treatment started asap because you will not begin to feel better until you have this under control.  As I said in my earlier post, this generally takes a while because there is some trial and error until the doctor has your dosage right so be patient, but you should then be on the road to feeling better.  Just be vigilant, take your pills daily, don't miss going for the various blood checks, and tell the specialist everything you are feeling.

Please make that appointment as soon as you can.  Best wishes.
