@wagirl Thankyou so much for your kind words of encouragment. I am so happy you are cancer free. God bless you
I still have fatique but have more energy & had very little energy with chemo/radiation.
I had a ct-scan with contrast 2 wks. after my last radiation treatment. It was good news. I had lumph nodes that are gone now except a few that shrunk so small & should be gone soon. Anyway, my ongologist did the ct-scan very early to check on those nodes. While on chemo/radiation the mass on my left lung shrunk by 30% on the third wk. So, after that, it build up scar tissue so the next ct-scan will show more because there will be a much clearer view. @catter70 This is also to give you an update as you asked. I hope you feel well sweetie ![]()

@gloriajean , prayers for a safe and full recovery. I hope she doesn't have troubling side effects with this lesser chemo.
Blessings to her, and her family.

Darla and her family, husband and twin girls who are nine now, are on a family vacation, well, he has to work for a week at his headquarters and they are making it a vacation time with the family. In her text yesterday she is saying that she is getting stronger and can handle the long drives better than before. I thank God for that!! Better is always good! She is doing okay with the lesser treatments.
Thanks for your posts.

Sorry she's dealing with this. I hope she's looked into the myriad of much better options to keep the cancer away and that don't have these negative side effects.

@gloriajean --well hurray for her and the family!!! That is a pretty major achievement I'd say. I hope they are enjoying themselves!!! All this treatment is a grand pain in the tookus, altho necessary, still a huge disruptment to normal life. I am sure ,YOU are very relieved , but cautious. Pat yourself on the back too!! I had to go thru my cancer journey, pretty much on my own--my mom was in the midst of severe mental issues and never knew about my health crisis. gain--HURRAY---![]()

No, it's not. That's just what the big money makers want people to still believe. Sorry you faced that health issue.

I'm sure GJ's daughter is well informed about her treatment.
Her decision is based on her own situation and suggesting one should look at other "myriad" of options is really not supportive.
What you want to believe is only relevant for you.
Let's be positive and supportive instead of implying her treatment may not be the best.
I'm done. Not interested in any reply or arguing.👎
@Cakers3 Your take on my post isn't accurate at all. I'm speaking as someone who wished I had known about all the other options when a loved one was dealing with cancer years ago. Too many are either unaware or don't speak up. Not even doctors have or share necessary info.
As far as your last 2 sentences, that comes across as a cop out. Either you don't want to face that you're mistaken about this or you're just wanting the last word. Glad you're not interested in arguing though. Neither am I but I'm always up for a good discussion and there is a difference.

@ThinkingOutLoud There is a reason why the ongologist reco'd Metronomic Chemo & no need to question it, when you do not know all the info. There are 3 forms of infusion Chemotherapy. Metronomic is a lowest doze of the 3 over a longer period of time. She does not have side effects (plural) but fatique which is normal for all types of infusion chemo. Gloriajean said chemo took away her daughter's pain .So she had pain before the chemo. If she wanted to share more info, she would have....So stop Thinking out Loud when you should just be supportive. Its difficult to come to this thread & talk about cancer as it is so personal with all that it entails emotionally. The wonderful ladies here who have or had cancer are hero's, a blessing & very supportive. TOL Peace....

@ThinkingOutLoud --what are you saying? That the treatments for cancer are not necessary??? If that is what you are implying then I must totally disagree as that is what saved my life!!!!! I am very sorry you/your relative must not have had a good outcome but I researched my situation, as well as had excellent medical people to guide me and a top notch cancer center in my backyard practically. I made the decisions and questioned many and was never poo-pooed in the least.Thank God that treatments have come as far as they have since 2012 whe I was going thru it all. It's not what you said just how it sounded.
