Still laughing . . .

On phone yesterday ordering something I had seen on TV, a hair removal tool in the shape of a lipstick at $19.99. Rep began offering all kinds of add-ons, other products, coupons, etc., and I finally emphatically told her I wanted the ONE offer I saw on TV and nothing else. I also said I realized this was not her fault, that she had to do it as part of her job.

So we began the order process . . . name, address, phone number and then the CC I was going to use. I started reading the numbers and they looked funny to me. I made sure I had the right glasses on and tried again. The numbers looked like letters . . . and, being me . . . I started to think I had had a stroke or something and I was getting pretty nervous. The rep was very patient with me as I told her I had to use another CC.

As I was putting the CC back into my wallet, I noticed that I was holding the card upside down the whole time!! Ever try reading the numbers on your card while holding it upside down?? Anyway, I started laughing, told the rep what the problem was and she started laughing too. Every time I tried to read the numbers (right side up this time), I started laughing again and so did she!!

Finally got through it, the order placed, and the rep told me it was the best call she had ever handled. We both continued laughing until we hung up. It was just one of those things. In fact, I'm laughing now as I'm writing this post!!

Has something like this ever happened to you??

@LilacTree Yes...things like that an happen to anyone. I was talking to someone from Regencie/ blue cross one day on the phone and the person asked for the last 4 numbers to my SS#. I BLANKED OUT! Could not remember and of courseI know it! Finally it came to me. Felt so 😜 silly.

I'll check it out. Hope it's not a piece of junk. I've never ordered something from a TV ad before . . . guess I'll find out. Oh . . . six to ten weeks for delivery . . . frankly, I don't expect to ever see it!

I just viewed it on Evine, they are selling two at a time. Yes, it's the same product. Probably could have received it quicker if I ordered from them. I made a note if I never get the one I ordered to check it out on Evine. Thx for the info.

I bought this product from Evine some time ago. I like it!! The process does not hurt and it works well!! Hope you like it too!!
