So Much To Remember to do and need to!

[ Edited ]

What about your hair and face when you are home from being in public? I saw on a news segment  that you should wear your hair back and not let it fly free.   I dont put my shoulder length hair up.

and  said to wash your face, change your clothes, sanitize or change shoes,  wipe down anything brought into your house,

and  or dont buy fresh fruit or vegetables since many probably have been touching them.

I got so paranoid last time I was in the store that I washed my face and hair when I got home!

I saw a guy retuning grapes at Sam's Club yesterday. Couldn't believe they took them back.

I don't know, but I felt like people were glaring at my cowboy hat the other day.  I get looks sometimes anyway (like, the gall) but I contend, just because you wear a baseball cap does that mean you have to be a ball player?

I have tried to stand away from produce and only touch the one I take.

It took me so long after I got home from the store a few days ago.

I washed or lysoled everything, I mean jars, undid cardboard and outside containers-threw those out, even threw the plastic egg carton out and put eggs in a bowl. threw clothes in the hot wash with detergent and vinegar and took a hot shower.

So tired! I don't want to go to the store for a long time.

And it was scary.

Some people looked as scared and waited for each to pass, others not so much.

I always hated grocery shopping and always joked to myself that I needed a butler to unload the groceries now that I'd done all the work of getting it all.

Now I hate it even more but so glad I got it all done!

I try not to get to stressed about it.  When I am out I wear my winter gloves...they are thin so easy to do what I need to.  I NEVER touch my face while out of my home.  The cashier at the Rite Aid wore a mask yesterday....I thought that was a good idea for someone like her with people coming in and out of that store all day long.  I am not "ready" to do that.....yet.  I may change my mind.

As for every can or package....cleaning it off? No I haven't done that yet....but we haven't purchased anything in a while from the grocery store.  I think I will wipe cans and boxes off just in case next time.  Washing veggies or fruit....that makes good sense to me no matter what's going on in the world.

We don't strip down and get in the shower after a grocery store visit...I don't feel that is necessary.  Shoes stay at the door on a rug.  I do wipe down door knobs after going out and of course washing hands.

I went to the grocery store this morning and the overall feeling that I felt from the public was that they are tired.... physically and emotionally. I agree.

To All Of You On This Thread ~ Thank You.  I saw myself in parts of every post.  Sad as this sounds, After reading these posts, I know I am not alone with these fears.  I wish none of us had them...

I don't share this much, but I have been on depression and anxiety meds for a very long time.  What is happening now can at times really overwhelm me.

The news always seems to give advice on how to avoid becoming over stressed with all this horrible Virus news.  BUT, I never hear anything on how to cope when you are already like this to begin with?

I try to just take it one day at a time, and try not to think too far ahead...  Lots of times that is easier said than done.

Heart I thank you all for sharing ~ Mistic
