I do hope all is well today for everyone. The weather here in St. Louis is predicted to get pretty hot over the next couple of days with temps feeling like it's over 100
Ouch !
My day started with my 1st physical therapy visit for this right knee pain that I posted about a few days ago so hopefully it will decrease my pain and swelling. So now I am going to relax, have a salad for dinner and watch TV
How has your day been ?

I do hope physical therapy makes a difference in your knee. I'm sorry it's really hurting you.
My day has been pretty good. It started out rainy again, but the sun came out around 3pm.
I have my work cut out for me tomorrow though lol. I rolled up an old rug I'm getting rid of and set on the side porch a couple weeks ago. I know I shouldn't have left it so long. When I went to move it yesterday, imagine my surprise to find a Yellowjacket had built a nest md had babies! They went everywhere, what seemed like 100! I got some spray to try and get them with tomorrow...if they're settled down by then lol.
My poor dad was stung a couple times.😔

Too hot to do anything but sit inside in the AC, move as little as possible, and watch TV or read.
Salad sounds good.

Not the greatest, to be honest.
I've been struggling with a rotator cuff issue (NO advice please, I have people I trust for that) for a couple of months and it's not resolving. My PCP said it's time for an MRI - which currently carries an 8-10 week appt lead time, followed by an 8-10 week wait for the results to be read (they scan for something emergent and if it's not there, the wait begins). It affects my ability to strength train at a high level and puts a little owie in my golf game. Mostly, it just annoys me.
But ya know what? EVERYONE has something going on and the last thing anyone wants to hear is someone constantly whinging about health issues. I know that I certainly don't!
Somewhere, there is someone drawing their last breath who would glady trade places with me. And that means I need to keep it in perspective, and other than this mini whinge, to myself.

@TheWanderingOne - I have worked in offices for radiologists. I understand the wait for an appt but not the wait for the read. In today's electronic world it should only be days, maybe a week. I would question that.

It's the hospitals/health systems in my area. They have a very well publicized shortage of staff in all areas, particularly radiology. They've tried to hire temporary radiologists to read results remotely, but it's not gone well. Believe me or not, but it's very real.

Terrible but it's getting better!
I went on a river cruise and came home on July 14th with a nasty case of Covid. As soon as I got home I spent several days in bed with a bad sore throat and cough. I went to Urgent care to be sure my lungs were clear and I didn't have strep. It was negative.
After almost 2 weeks I felt well enough to go to the supermarket and stock up on a lot of things. DH did go to the store for me but sometimes when you're starting to feel better you just want some of your old favorites.
Anyway during this time the air conditioner stopped working! UGH! Nothing like feeling miserable and the ac goes out. We had a guy come out to fix a loose connection and guess what? It went out again yesterday! ....Five days later. It was another loose connection. He just finished up.
In the meanwhile I have been feeling much better with the Covid but I did something to my foot....I must have pulled something and couldn't walk other than hobble from the bed to the bathroom for several days. My foot got swollen so I have been resting & icing it. The foot pain felt worse that dealing with Covid.
DH has been great bringing ice packs, water & food up to me.
This has been a miserable three weeks! Fingers crossed that my foot is better tomorrow. I had this same thing happen back in December (other foot) and it took just under a week to feel normal again.

Today has been one of those days that won't be forgotten for a long time; all events related to nursing my husband thru what I believe is Covid. I will go to bed thankful we got thru another day and hopeful tomorrow will be better! It is what it is and I just deal with it.

It's been miserably hot and humid here in central Indiana.
Sending good thoughts for all that are dealing with so much, myself included. Like @RedTop said I'm thankful to get thru another day in hopes tomorrow is better.

I had a post op visit after surgery on July 18th. It was a real reminder that I'm not in my 20s any longer and it will take some time before I get back to baseline and exercising comfortably again. Oh well. LOL
