I'd go to the doctor too. The red burning rash I had was something the dog had gotten on his coat running through bushes. He gave me a little tube of steroid cream because I love to hug my boy!
Over the counter would have never done it.

I just ran across your post. I began a thread, "If You Are Experiencing Skin Rash," earlier this month (8/16) regarding a preservative/anti-microbial, Methylisothiazolinone, which is found in many household and laundry products, as well as cosmetics, hair and skin products and even paint.
I hope your problem has resolved, but if not, I've posted some information and links there that I hope will be helpful. Good luck.

A couple of other things to consider regarding rashes and why seeing a doctor is
important:
A rash on my leg is one of the things that tells me that my Auto Immune Disorder is acting up (Pulmonary Sarcoidosis)....
Moved across the country and noticed a red blotch on my cheek Did a few things with no result and went to the doctor. Had a skin infection and required anti-biotics. Would not have gone away without anti-biotics.
Seeing a doctor is really the best thing when something isn't going away.... ![]()
