Medicare will pay for most shots why not this one? My doctor recommended I have this vaccine. I can have this done at CVS. My part D plan pays and I pay a co-pay.

We have Medicare but not RX plan from them, cost us $50 for each shot, that was $200 but better than getting shingles. Many get side effects from it, i got a fever both times, but only lasts one day.

I had to pay some of it too.  Medicare sure has its moments.

I had my first the same day as the flu, one on each side.  And it was the flu one that hurt.  Actually don't remember about the second.  Don't fall for all the horror stories.

I have BC/BS, and it cost me exactly $0.00 for me to get my Shingrix shot.

I had mild arm achiness, run down feeling, and a mild headache.

I'll take that any day over shingles.

I had a copay for the shots with my Medicare, too....but felt it was well worth it.

I will have to pay $21 for each shot. That is fine.

I feel so fortunate not to pay very much for quality health care.

I had the first shot the first of November when I also got my flu shot.  Didn't cost me a penny.  Must depend on your insurance.

I got the vaccine before I went on Medicare b/c I had heard there might be a charge for it under Medicare. My insurance at that time paid for it.

@Still Raining.  My experience was identical to yours and I also had absolutely no side effects.
