@SisterSisto  - so sorry you aren’t feeling better. I hope the neurologist was able to give you some answers.

The neurologist did a thorough exam and listened to me and she said I have post herpetic neuralgia and restarted me on gabapentin so I don't have to take Cymbalta!!!  She didn't have a time line for me in when this might resolve, she did say it could take two weeks, or two months, or two years......    I questioned her on antivirals but she said at this point, it won't do me anygood as the nerve damage has already happened.  So, I guess at this point, it's back to "business" with the lidocaine patches and gabapentin and tylenol.
