Scalp Itching and burning sensation

I have itching and a slight burning sensation on both sides of my head above the ears. Went to the Derm and he has me shampooing with T-Sal and using Mometasone Furoate a topical solution. It went away and now the past 2 weeks it is back. Have a follow appointment with the derm in a few weeks but wondering if anyone has experienced this. Any feedback appreciated.
