Has anyone been to a salt room? If so, how was it and did you feel like it helped you in any way?
I've been thinking about visiting a local business to see if it helps with my allergy-induced asthma.

I cannot believe you just posted about salt rooms. I just this second read an ad for one and wondered what it was about. Never heard of it before

Me either! I was just talking to someone who is going to a salt cave, which is at her spa. What is the health benefit?

I get facials at local chiropractor
she said she did it, didn't feel anything at the time but that night
she said she slept better than she could ever remember
I plan on doing it some day.

The salt caves or rooms are about halotherapy. The salty air supposedly helps improve breathing for chronic breathing conditions like asthma and bronchitis.. The salt also gives off negative ions and there are claims that say that helps with overall well being and calmness.
For a more scientific explanation here's a good publication to read:

I was thinking about buying one of those salt lamps for my house. I'm very curious.

I have been through the salt mines in Poland twice.
Though I have chronic sinus problems, I noticed no change, about 4 hours each time.

No, but I have two Himalayan salt lamps...very beautiful especially in a bathroom! I had no more sinus problems after giving up dairy and the sauna helped also. I wish you the best. The salt room sounds intriguing.

What are you experiencing with those salt lamps? I was wanting to buy at least one.

Interestingly enough, I just came upon a benefit to filling a bowl with water, adding about a 1/2 to a cup of sea salt, stirring until it dissolves, and allowing it to absorb negative energy. Whether you believe it or not, I've done it twice now, placed the bowl on my kitchen table, and almost immediately felt calmer. Super simple; couldn't hurt.
Sadly, the salt room close to me closed down before I could give it a try. Reviews were mostly about poor customer service.
The Himalayan salt lamp that first comes up on amazon seems to have excellent reviews.
