Salonpas Review: DEEP Relieving Gel

Up for review is, "DEEP Relieving Gel," from Salonpas and while the name of this substance may seem odd to your Fort Worth Popular Culture Examiner, what this stuff does is not odd. It is amazing!

Salonpas is manufactured by Hisamitsu America, which is a division of Hisamatsu Pharmaceutical Co., Inc., in Japan. Founded in 1847, Hisamatsu Pharmaceutical specializes in topical drug delivery technology since the introduction of its Salonpas line of patches in 1934. Furthermore, the patches are the first and only FDA-approved OTC pain patch.

We have loved Salonpas, since having discovered it many years ago. However, today is the first time that we have tried the DEEP Relieving Gel and we tried it on six-week, post-operative knees.

Not fair.

Right?

Wrong.

Even though the gel is designed for "minor aches and pains," it definitely took the edge off of the pain associated with the surgeries. We also applied the gel directly onto connected calf and thigh muscles, with similar results.

Initially, the analgesic melted instantaneously into the painful areas and supplied a slight, warm rush, akin to what the pain patches offer. This resulted with an, "Agghh," moment.

We like it. We really like it!

DEEP Relieving Gel is quick to absorb, has a slight, medicinal (but, not unpleasant) odor, is non-greasy and is available in over 50 countries. It retails at just under $10.00.

Not sure where to get it? If you point your browser to this Salponpas web site, then, you are free to punch in your zip code, towards the top, right-hand side of the site, under, "Where to Buy."
