Root Canal question? Fail?

I had a root canal about 2 1/2 weeks ago and the tooth is still hurting. It hurts when chewing and sometimes even throbs. I just don't understand. Should it still be hurting? I am going in tomorrow to see the dentist and see what he says. I have an auto immune condition, I wonder if it has anything to do with that? Any thoughts?
