Hi Everyone,

I'll be having resection surgery on July 20th, a week from today. I have severy, chronic/acute diverticulitis so they will be removing my sigmoid. I'm not sure how much, they'll know when they get in there. The Dr is going to try and do it laproscopically, but can't promise since I'm in a chronic state of inflammation/infection. I have the prep to do the day before, the GoLytely and all the meds. The GoLytely is no big deal. I did that for my colonascopy. The 8 pills of flagyl and 8 pills of an antibiotic (can't remember the name) is what is worrying me about the prep. I've heard it can cause severe nausea. I hate that! Anyone have any experience with that?

Does anyone have any tips for me for before or after the surgery?? On healing etc?? I'm glad to finally get this done, but nervous at the same time. I've been dealing with horrible pain since January of this year. I finally have insurance as of July 1.. !!

Thanks!
