Re: Ray Rice Cut by Baltimore Ravens

Finally!

Why wasn't this video made available when this incident occur? The 2-game suspension initially was a joke. Only sorry for the Raven's organization, and the negativity it brings to the NFL.

Then our actions should be focused on HER...not him. So many different Women's Rights groups to help her. Shame. Even if he would've been in jail for life, she would've found someone else to do this to her. That behavior doesn't 'go away'. I want to help her NOT be a Nichole Brown. Unfortunately, it'll be too late. You can lead a horse to water......

Just another example of how much fans love their stars...

The Bills' Wall of Fame -

When we visited the College Football Hall of Fame (when it was in South Bend) They had busts of the Heisman Trophy winners. There was an empty space where OJ's would have been. I do not know if it was ever replaced.

I remember Mr. Goldman got the Heisman in his civil suit. I think they melted it down.

Ralph Wilson, the Bills late owner, refused to take him off the Wall of Fame.

First of all the first tape should of had him in jail. He got off Scott free and such a light sentence for what that video showed.

He should be put away...so he can't harm anyone for a while.

She needs counseling, that's for sure. Many women are too frightened to leave abusers because they threaten to KILL them if they leave. She has seen that a pro player can actually murder his ex AFTER she left him - and get away with it!!!!

Blaming the victim isn't productive. He is the abuser.

He already got off as a "first offender" - what confidence can she have that the courts will protect her????

Re: Ray Rice Cut by Baltimore Ravens

I never said ANYTHING about blaming her. Never. I said we need to focus on HER behavior...for her NOT to be a victim anymore. THAT'S productive. She's serving more time than he is....jail is her mind...she's in prison with those thoughts....and those thoughts will ALWAYS be there no matter where Ray Rice is. See?

Blame the Judge.

I'm stunned that many of you on this thread don't see this. We need to help women not to be abused anymore, yes?

Why would she marry the abuser?

MONEY, LIFESTYLE

yes, cynical but more than likely accurate.

I think it would be a good idea for you to educate yourself on the details of how abuse happens and what it does to the victim. Your point of view is very antiquated and I'm afraid bordering on misogyny.

Actually I think he should be in jail. Any other person who wasn't a "celebrity" would be.

I wish I thought this is true, but I don't think it often is. Why else the so, so many repeated assaults, so many women who finally get themselves and their children to battered women shelters only after they've been assaulted myriad times?

Thank you but I am educated. No, my opinion just stems from working with football players and seeing, up close and personal, the women that flock to them because of their money. Could I be wrong about her, maybe. Money is quite powerful when you get to quit your job for a glam life and house.
