Re: Earlobe Crease (Frank’s Sign): Risk Factor

I have also heard about the creases in the earlobe....very interesting there does seem to be a connection.  But I keep thinking about my Grandparents who didn't drink or smoke...didn't eat a special diet or exercise and they had creases in the ear lobes too.  They both lived until 95yrs old....grandpa had a pacemaker put in for heart rhythm issues in his mid 80's....grandmother had nothing.  She did pass away at 95 from heart failure. They both lived independently until age 92...so really not bad at all if this crease issue is to be something.  I am not sure....I mean as we age we ALL get creases and wrinkles...some more then others due to sunbathing...genetics...who know's for sure!

I truly believe it is the diet people ate 'back in the day' and people stayed active.

I am concerned about the heart attacks and strokes that are occurring in folks, mostly men.  An ex-Husband died from massive organ failure brought on by clogged arteries (he ignored the symptoms for a couple of weeks) - he was just 52 yo.

@sidsmom I hope the fallacy of that statement is never proved to you.

@Sooner

I hope not either.

But I’m going to fight tooth & nail, in my power, not to let this happen.

I still have control.

@sidsmom    Well, I hope that works out for you.  Unbelievable.

It’s very believable.

yup.  We are all gonna die no matter what we eat or not eat.... do or not do.... The reaper is gonna get you!

This constant diatribe about what constitutes the only healthy way to eat has gotten completely out of hand.

Just stop.

While I am a believer in staying as healthy/physically and mentally fit as possible! I am disappointed that anyone would, regardless of what they truly believe, start a thread about anyone suffering a serious stroke.

The real reason is obvious to me and I believe to many others that have been on this Wellness Forum for any length of time.

Right now I am stunned and have no desire to get into what might be the cause of anyone's illness. For me it's sad.

If you seriously believe this, you may be in for a rude awakening.

Many studies are fake, inaccurate, and paid for by the folks looking for facts to comfirm their money making scams.

@RetRN @sidsmom   I'd like to know which modern day illnesses can be prevented by munching on plants.

It is rude and unkind to tell people that one has an illness because they ate dairy, or meat, etc.

There are no REPUTABLE studies to show that all modern day illnesses are caused from not eating plants.

While I agree diet can help with some things, diet isn't the cure all for all illnesses.

@SeaMaiden

Your comment is a given for everyone. I learned long ago to believe in these words(not really sure who made them) "It's not the destination, it's the journey"

That has and will always be what counts to me.

Of course we are all gonna die someday.

What I pray is that I go peacefully, in my sleep, or even right in the midst of doing something I love.  And not from a lingering, debilitating illness.

There are no guarantees, though, that we can leave this life in such a way, no matter what we eat or drink or how we do anything.  We can only live our lives the best we can and leave the rest to Providence.
