I need to see my brain doctor as I see him twice a year but I have pneumonia and I am finally feeling a little better this am but I have been awake for hours knowing I am going to be sleepy during the long drive...........I think I should just cancel yet I have been in touch with them since Friday and they said WE will keep your appointment open in case you feel like coming and I have tried to feel like it but I am still on meds and will be out Saturday and I just hate missing this appointment but I feel like I should not push myself and driving 5 hours today home to there and back might be too much as I am starting to feel better. I am going to cancel and reschedule but if you were me would you go regardless? Thank you,

I would go. If you don't feel up to going, reschedule.

@DowntonAbbey Since it is just a checkup twice a year visit... why not wait a week or two until you feel totally well again.... Driving 5 hours seems like a lot if you are just barely over Pneumonia. Call them and reset your appointment and go back to bed, with hot tea and honey... a good book... TV and REST.
Best wishes to you! ![]()

Thank you and I did call and reschedule, in fact I am not even over the pneumonia yet. I wish I could have hot tea. Since the burning mouth hot tea and tea are one of the hundreds of things I have had to let go, even coffee or I burn more. Thank you again,

No, I would stay home and reschedule that appt. If you have to get yourself there on your own and have been as sick as you still are, that spells disaster waiting to happen. Will a week or 2 matter to do that appt? Stay home and get better. I've had pnuemonia and tried to push myself only to end up far worse.

I agree .... this isn't of life or death importance .... you will feel relieved and be glad that you re-scheduled. Please do it now and put this decision behind you.

Glad you decided to cancel. Sounds like you should stay home & rest for a while longer before making that 5 hr trip. You don't want the Pneumonia to flare back up.

I'm glad you rescheduled too!
Have you tried iced tea? Maybe you can still enjoy the taste of the tea without the burning feel...
