OK...all you treadmill people, I want to buy a treadmill that both my mother and I can use at home. She is 87, and I am 63. My question is, why are there so many used treadmills for sale? I see ads for used treadmills all over. They usually say something like: "Barely used treadmill for sale...practically new! Rarely used as I just couldn't find time to use it." Blah, blah...anyway...what is the real reason there are so many used treadmills for sale?

I'm thinking that maybe people are buying lower end ones that aren't meeting their needs. Could that be the reason...or is it really lack of motivation for all these people?

I want a fairly good treadmill that has the incline feature...without having to take the whole thing apart and move screws and pegs.

We live in a wicked climate, and it is treacherous walking outside here in the winter. On really cold or snowy days, I don't want to let my mother go out as she might slip and fall. I'd love to hear your opinions...also any recommendations on good brands and models. Thank you!
