Psoriatric Arthritis (Otezla)

I was diagnosed with Psoriatric Arthritis in June.  Although my doctor wants to me to start biologics, I am very relunctant to do so because of the risks.  Is anyone here taking Otezla, and if so did it help? I  have been taking Plaquenil for months and although it has made movement tolerable, it does nothing for the pain.  If I had enemies, I wouldn't wish this terrible condition on them.  If anyone has any suggestions  for pain relief, I would appreciate them.  Thanks!!

@lyoness @You're smart to consider the side effects.

I've been on Humira injections every two weeks for about a year.  I also take Plaquenil twice a day.  So far I've had no side effects.  It has helped me greatly.  I read all I could, my Reumatoligist and I agreed the benefits outweighed the risks.  I get blood work done every six months.  I am not in the pain I once was from arthritis.

@lyoness  I've taken Enbrel for quite a few years and It has helped significantly with my RA decreasing my pain levels.    I don't have any side effects and get bloodwork done regularly to make sure my counts are good.

Please don’t be scared of the risks. It’s very small. I have PSA and take Taltz and it’s been a game changer. It is one of the few biologics without a cancer warning. It has been a game changer for me. Ir took trying 3 biologics before I found the one that worked on both skin and joints.

I also hardly ever get sick. I did have a few uti when starting. Increased water and started taking 2 AZO cranberry pills a day and haven't had one for 3 years.
