I don't know much about various types of protein powder but I need something to add protein to my smoothies.  Must taste good.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

@Kachina624 I am by no means an expert, but I use premiere protein (whey powder ) in vanilla and add different frozen fruits and sometimes green powders in it. 2 scoops is 39g protein but I usually use 1 scoop to make it last longer.

It doesn't give a lot of protein but at least its palatable - PB Fit Peanut Butter powder.  I can at least get it down.  LOL!

To really up my protein, I usually drink a Fairlife shake everyday.  They make a few, but I use the one with 30 grams of protein in the bottle.  They're pretty good and you can make your smoothies with them.

@Kachina624 I have never found one that doesn't have that weird aftertaste, but the best I did find was one called Milkshake Bar Protein shakes.

There's a new one called Keto Chow that keeps popping up in my Facebook news feed  probably because I did a search on it after seeing it used in a protein ice cream recipe for the Ninja Creami Deluxe.

@Linda0215 The chocolate ones are really good and no weird aftertaste.

I have two suggestions for you for protein powder.

Dr. Amy MEYERS Psleoprotein in both vanilla a salted caramel taste good and they are autoimmune protocol approved.

I have never had a problem with anything of hers.

There's also "Just Ingredients" protein and it is delicious, but I found out I have a sensitivity to the ingredient whey and this is the source of their protein.

Just ingredients is flavored pretty strongly with monk fruit...it didn't sit well for me.

Amy MEYERS paleoprotein used to froth up so nice...what a treat, but the formula seems to have changed. It can be added to any liquid, even coffee I believe.

@Kachina624  I use rice protein powder that I bought on Amazon. I was told not to use whey protein as it has lactose and is mostly for body builders. The one I use is unflavored.IMG_7228.jpeg

@Icegoddess  Right?  Like drinking chocolate milk.  I'm really weird about aftertastes so it's hard to find things I like, but these are a no-brainer.

@LTT1 Thank you.  I'll check Dr. Amy out.  I'm very, very, very sensitive to monk fruit and stevia.  If i can taste it, I won't drink it.  The Fairlife must have minimal in them because I really can't taste it.  It's hard to find palatable protein items out there.  Most of them make me gag.  LOL!
