Does anyone takes this or another drug for "brain health"? If so, have you found it works? TIA!

There's no scientific proof that brain supps work. Most of the ingredients found in them get digested and broken down to do anything for brain health. The ingredients never reach the brain through the digestive tract.

@kaydee50. Ive read the same. Also that even the company can provide no proof or data that the product is effective.

I don't take any brain health drugs but I do take supplements that support brain health.
Tocatreinol form of vitamin E
High DHA Omega-3 Fish Oil
R-Lipoic Acid
Also, other than my initial weight loss, I've chosen to remain on the ketogenic way of eating because it feeds the brain. In fact, the diet was devised over 100 years ago as treatment for epilepsy. Contrary to some opinions out there, it's not a fad.

This is interesting. I first heard about DHA being good for the brain from Andrew Lessman.. And somewhere along the line I read that tocatreinols cross the blood-brain barrier where other forms of Vitamin E don't.

Yes. That's true about some of the vitamins and minerals but for the majority of them, they don't cross. Prevagen promotes their use of a specific type of jellyfish protein which they claim benefits memory. But the fact is the gut digests it and, just like any other protein, breaks it into amino acids which are no different than other amino acids found in nature.

Think there was a blurp in the news this past week or so, saying the garbage advertised for brain health was just that --garbage and not proven to do much except drain your wallet--isn't Prevengen $80 for a months supply?? Think the same was discussed for the many MANY--hair supplements too.
