I was told years ago by my GYN to never use powder in my undies.

I heard decades ago not to use anything, powders or sprays in the hootie area. My doctor said not to use deodorant soaps in the privates, to use Ivory or unscented soaps.

After posting this earlier today I just saw a TV ad for a law firm advertising this exact thing about powders and Ovarian Cancer and a law suit.
I used it for chafing along the pantie line and under the bre...ast area. I am seriously considering a powder that does not contain talc but will ask my doctor the next time that I go to see her.
Thanks everyone for replying. Great info from all of you.
Edited to say: I decided to check my ""Johnson's Baby Powder"" containing Vitamin E and Aloe and it says right on the front of the container that it contains pure cornstarch. I am hoping that cornstarch is fine. I will definitely ask my doctor when I see her in December.

My daughter just had her first baby, a little boy, she was told not to use any powders when changing his diapers.

Yes, talc can cause cervical cancer.....I believe if you check ingredients, you will find that Talc has been replaced with Cornstarch, which dries and cools.
Companies like Johnson & Johnson changed over years ago, when this news came out.
I would never buy Talc in anything. Be safe!
