I had a cold over Easter - like 3 weeks ago and it has run it's course except for my ears are still plugged up with mucous. I can hardly hear and they keep popping then immediately plug up again. I was at Walmart last evening so I asked the pharmacist about it and she recommended Pseudoephedrine 12 hour tablets. I took one when we got home and by the time I went to bed they were cleared up - wonderful. But when I woke up this morning they were plugged up again. I took another capsule but it isn't working as well as the first one. All day I have been sitting around with a hot water bottles on my head trying to get them to drain. that was what my Mom did when we were kids. What is really odd is - I do not have a runny nose - just the ear thing.

Anybody have any other home remidies I can try. I don't want to go and get them opened by the doctor because we are leaving on vacation soon so I don't want to have to delay that for a doctor's follow up. I'm just looking for anyones home remedy for this.
