High platelets could be related to the medications you take or a number of other factors. Ask your doctor.
In Sept, I had very very low platelet and blood oxygen counts. It scared me because my mom died of a blood disease with similar symptoms.
My dr put me on an iron supplement and my January test improved a lot.

@gellen I wouldn't worry about it. The count is borderline high. Maybe you were dehydrated when blood was drawn. The test may be repeated, or you will be watched for future results. How does your past blood work compare? Most people do exhibit occasional anomalies. Talk to your doctor.

Good to be concerned over your health but don't get too worked up over a single out of wack result (I've been guilty of this, it's hard not to!).....because that was just a single capture of one moment in time when lots of things could have affected your counts. I'd be more worried about trends over time. Hopefully your doctor will retest and everything will be fine!
Wishing you well!!!
