Re: Plant Based News 🍓🍇🍠🍎

In addition to hash browns, I use the Ore Ida diced potatoes.

Throw them on the grill....and they crisp up like popcorn.

For a snack...but filling enough for a meal.

@sidsmom

I watched Will's video and thought that this could be a new staple.  So many ways to fill the potatoes!

Hey Leafies!  Do agree with Marley?

Years past, my BFF has said my eyes look whiter...

and I totally agree the skin takes on a luminous tone.

Eat the greens!

Marley has the best series of videos showing the price of every item he purchases and then cooks...all his meals for the day in a quick, short video. So many ideas for a Plant Based diet, low in fat.

Re: Plant Based News 🍓🍇🍠🍎

Morning!

just wanted to say that although I don’t follow this eating plan I truly enjoy reading this thread.  I learn a lot and expand my horizons.  I’m getting amazing health and weight management results on my current lifestyle so I don’t see making any changes anytime soon- but that never stops me from learning all that I can about health and nutrition.

So thank you all for sharing all of this great info!

Re: Plant Based News 🍓🍇🍠🍎

Well, I just walked in the house a little bit ago with a giant bunch of beautiful kale greens which I plan to put in my lentil soup.

No greens, no life!

I have been asked quite a lot about what I put on my skin to have the "glow" (yes, glow! ha!).  Well, nothing fancy.  I clean my face with cleansing oil from Trader Joe's and put a few drops of Trader Joe's argan oil on it.

The "glow" is from the inside out and that can only be from the nutrition.

It's not like I have some super skin "genes".

P.S.  I have not been doing 8010/10.  Tracking my macros shows a 22-24% fat intake, all from plant sources.  I seem to function best this way and so does my skin!

80/10/10 works for some, what is wrorking best for me is more along the lines of 65/20/15 (give or take 5% in either direction for each).  I became more sluggish on the 80/10/10.  Upping the fat (from whole food plant sources!) has not caused me to gain weight.  I have lost weight, and need to eat a lot so as not to lose more.  And I do eat a lot!.

I still eat a mixed diet, but I love my vegetables.  If I had to choose between meat or vegetables for the rest of my life,  veggies would win, hands down,
