THANKS, short of jumping off my roof I have not as yet found anything that really helps.  I have all sorts of professionals lined up but still no  FIX.    i AM DEPRESSED and not happy it is taking a toll on my hubby who worries endlessly about me.

Tomorrow,  more physical therapy.  Next day back to orthopedic doctor.     I do stretches, have ice, tens machine, heating pad.  Nothing, I mean nothing seems to work.  I even have anti inflamatory meds.  Wondering what will be next.

Or dear cannot even do that right.  Cancelled my own message.  I am going for help, physical therapist, orthopedic doctor, anti-inflamatory meds, heat, ice, tens machine.  I have stretching devices, exercise equipment (basement).  If if is out there I OWN IT.  But nothing seems to be taking the pain away.

Thanks all for listening (reading).  Gives me hope

IrAs a new member of this group :-(

Undergoing PT right now. It helps, but I (and I think most people) need help between therapy or other medical intervention.

When I had my last previous session of PT (for non-priformis labeled sciatic nerve irritation) I was given an exercise to do that was helpful. But - it was awkward, and I didn't always have something around to act as a needed "strap/handle.*

Googling Amazon, I found a neoprene & velcro device (configured straps with a handle, basically) I've just ordered. It essentially does what the exercise does - stretch the piriformis - but it's an all-in-one that you just have to put on and pull, no extra "things" to gather.

Yes, I could just do it the cheap way, but knowing myself I'll be happier buying this thing and knowing the right muscle in the right spot is getting a correct, better stretch than a do-it-yourself rig. In short, I know I'll USE this device  vs "maybe" doing a harf-arthed job on my own.

There are three different prices for different models. If you have very large thighs, calves and knees it might not work for you. I'm at the top of their range, so hope mine works out. 30 day return policy.

Google "Piri Stretcher", or go to miraclestretch dotcom for tons of info.

Right now you will get it slightly cheaper from the website directly than from Amazon, by 10% but not sure how long that's on.

Not affiliated with this thing in any way, but have ordered one because of many happy customers' reviews and because it's a "better way" to do an exercise that's helped me before.
