Hi. I'm a current fatty looking to do something about it.

First, a little background. I'm 43 years old, about 50 pounds overweight, and have some medical/physical impairments. I have spinal stenosis, bulging discs, hypermobility in my pelvis. I have had issues with the mobility like when I cough, sneeze or hiccup. I will feel an instant increase in pain. Upon physical examination, one leg will become shorter than the other. I have constant pain in my low back. Pain level never goes below a 4, even with epidural injections, muscle relaxants and pain meds. I could go to bed with a low pain level, roll over during the night, and wake up screaming in pain and barely able to move.

I've been worked up by multiple professionals at various hospitals and have been told that this is how it is. PT is always recommended. I follow a home PT program, but lately, I've been bad and not followed it like I should. I also walk, but havent done it daily due to the weather.

I'm wondering if pilates could aid me in becoming more fit and toned. I have other reasons I want to slim down too. Since I'm no longer able to work, I don't have much money. I can't buy a pilates machine, nor can I join a gym/studio.

Are there any vidoes that I could buy or any websites or youtube sites I could check out?

Any help that you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
