Well, I just came back from injection #2 in my knees and finding out I have phlebitis is a vein in my leg that needs monitoring to make sure the redness or pain does not begin to spread. If it does I need to go to the ER immediately. Doctor does not believe Synvisc is the issue since the joint and the vein are no where connected. Seems like a strange coincidence, but he is my RA doctor and is very well respected in his field so I went ahead and had the second dose of injections. If you girls never hear from me again you will know why. Sorry to make this sound light, I am really not afraid of dying and have great faith in God that when it is my time, it is my time and I am at peace with it. Neither do I believe my life is threatened by this vein that has decided to be difficult.

I actually have had blood clots before when I was 16 and then 19. They removed a large vein from my left leg and I have been fine since. I have never suffered obesity, just bad DNA. My dad had ulcerous vericose veins. This new blood clot occured in a vein that appeared to be fine since my legs are clear of any sign of vericosed veins or even spider veins for that matter. I did read that RA can affect veins as well, so the doctor is scheduling some tests to determine what is happening. I hate RA. I was soooo healthy and fit before this miserable disease came knocking on my door. Sorry to vent ladies.

Have a wonderful week.
