Well, if they are not hurting anyone I would say interesting.

Chances are that anyone leading a double life is most likely hurting someone though.

Too subjective for this high school dropout to attempt to diagnose. I am pretty sure, each individual with "a personality disorder", might be for different reasons/causes. It is up to them if they choose to get help from Mental Health Professional.

What is your description?

Mindy D nailed it,in short a monster.The Mental Health Professionals are helpful John when they dont shy away from the obvious. If a person is incapable of having feelings,talk therapy is meaningless.Ihope that you are feeling better and appreciate your response.

@sunshower

Thank you for your well wishes. About the time I thought my last medical issue, pain on my butt, it is now acting up again. Probably have to go back to the Advanced Wound Center for treatment again. Hard for me to sit/bend over and get out of any type of seat.

Had my own problems back in the mid 1990's? Spent 7+ days in hospital Mental Ward with diagnosed Panic/Anxiety Disorder and Clinical Depression. Been on meds since and still see my Psychiatrist every 6 months.

Met people there with many different mental disorders, several that had slit their wrists, in suicide attempts, I am guessing. At least that is what they said in some of our group classes. Some were drug and alcohol issues, some Bipolar. Never heard the term "Personality Disorder" mentioned in any of the many group classes I attended. None of the patients I talk to like you would any friend, said anything about that term either.

Been the serious route of thinking seriously about suicide, so unfortunately or fortunately, I can personally relate to those types pf mental issues. That is why I am very critical when I read the casual "I had a panic attack" by some on these forums. Most have no idea what a Clinical Panic/Anxiety Attack is, in comparison to being nervous/having butterflies in the stomach, and so on.

Panic Attacks are a whole different thing than being anxious waiting to perform or waiting for a medical diagnosis. Not even close. For me the Mental Health Profession was/is my saving grace. Like any type of MD, each person has to find the one they can best feel can relate with them.

My best to you and yours, and Merry Christmas to all that might read this.
