I haven't tried it yet but now I am. Had not realized that 'old people smell' needs a special kind of deo soap b/c regular soap won't do it. I'm going to get a body wash with persimmon.
Gosh just another thing to worry about when you get old.

Ha! When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it said Persimmon SOUP. Soap sounds much better to me.

I'm sorry but what now??!!
Any old people who smell, smell because their hygiene is poor, just as any young or middle-aged people smell because their hygiene is poor.

At about age 40 the body starts to produce the chemical 2-nonenal which increases with age. The chemical has a distinctive 'old people smell'.Traditional soaps and other deo products will not remove it. That chemical is a kind of lipid which is resistant to removal by regular bathing with regular soap.

Sorry, but I never noticed old people smelling any different than anyone else. I think this is a marketing ploy being used by deodorant manufacturers.

Oh, for the love of Mike lol.

Enjoy the magic soap then, and don't forget the full-body deodorant afterwards!

Old people smell, lol lol. I thought my husband and I were the only ones who used that word. Sometimes I come into the house and yell, I smell old people lol. I know it's time to clean out closets, hall closet, get rid of clothes , blankets, bedding that sits on neds and hasn't been used. Luckily we have a whole house fan we use at night and usually keeps the house fresh smelling! I hate deodorizers. I think my closet with dozens and dozens of shoes handbags and such, was the culprit too. Went through that. Wrapped, sealed hand bags, got rid of old shoes I was going to wear .....someday. Lol
