I have a few questions from reading your messages in the past. After receiving my results from my Dexa Scan I need to improve on some things for my bones. My right hip is worse compared to the scan I had two years before. I just ordered the Silicon Dioxide you have mentioned in the past. I'll also need to increase my Calcium, Vitamin D and Magnesium. My first question is where do you order your supplements? I have used Andrew Lessman Essential 1 but it doesn't have enough of what I need in it. My second question is do you take the supplements and silicon dioxide around the same time or space it out? TIA

@JYWilliams

Most of my supps come from amazon and a few come from Walmart.

I take some supps in the morning and some in the evening. Everything I take with food with the exception of a collagen powder supp which I mix into my morning coffee before breakfast.

Okay Thank You I greatly appreciate it. I had ordered the Collagen powder a few months ago after reading some of your messages. So I'll check out Amazon and Walmart on the supplements.

@JYWilliams I am chiming in based on what extra supplementation you said you need.  Has your doctor given you a certain level of D3 and/or calcium that you need to reach?

For example, my doctor told me to try to get to the range of 2000-3000 IU for D3.  I do not have osteopenia or osteoporosis.  This level is a maintenance level for postmenopausal women with no bone issues.

If you have a Costco, this might be a good supplement with which to start.  It was recommended by Consumer Lab a couple of years ago for price, quality, and efficacy.  I take one at lunch and one at dinner, as your body can only absorb about 500mg of calcium at one time.  Calcium Citrate is the best form of calcium to take according to my doctor.

@Ainhisg She just printed something off the computer that said Calcium 500-600Mg and Magnesuim 250-350Mg. I do have Osteopenia. There is no Cosco in my town but Im sure I can order on line. Thank you for your reply.

@JYWilliams you are welcome.  I've read that postmenopausal women should get around 1200mg of calcium a day and 250-400mg of magnesium a day.  This supplement alone does not get me near those amounts, but I if I add in my multi-vitamin and food sources, I can get close.  Before we had a Costco in our city, I bought this same supplement from Amazon offered by a third-party seller.
