I went yesterday for another 6 month diagnostic mammo. I have calcifications. This is my third follow up now and with "no sign of malignancy". YEAH!!! ![]()
The tech is only been doing mammograms for a year but she has been in the field for 5 years. She said she has never seen any like mine in the year she's been doing this.. They are "undefined". So I ask her if I could see the film. It was highly magnified, but they looked like little "splats" to me instead of like grains of sand or salt. So I'm hoping they will eventually go away. I still have to go back in another 6 months, but I'm going to stop being so nervous about it. If it does turn cancerous, at least I will catch it early.
Ladies....Don't forget to get your mammograms....PLEASE!!
