Thanks, @Tissyanne. I'm happy with myself so far. We all know that initially weight comes off easily so we have to not get discouraged along the way when it slows up. Hopefully, I'll be like you and steadily go down, lol.
Yes, eating calories is more filling sometimes but I'm used to the shake. Last time I was on the program I was still working and my lunch hour was usually busy so my protein shake and a snack was convenient. And I always had bites of fruit close by. My best days are when I don't go more than 2 hours without a bite of something. One time a co-worker said it was amazing to see me losing weight because she always saw me eating, lol.
Check with your WW receptionist, but apparently at my location for sure, you can return a product you don't like. Another thing I like about them is that if one of your items is missing, they just give you said item with no questions asked.

Boohoo, boohoo! I had a good weigh in yesterday so why did I blow it today? I was at home with all of my good foods right here and I threw in a toasted bagel smeared with butter. Oh, well. I'll pick myself up tomorrow. Just a temporary appetite malfunction.

@Mmsfoxxie, No worries. A bagel won't break your resolve. I would track it, and let it count against your weekly points. I ate a 9 smart pt cookie last week. I did track it, and I do believe it was worth it.
I am still going strong, losing each week, and tracking everything I eat. Keep in touch with me, and we will be thinner for the summer months. ![]()

Thanks for the encouraging words, @Tissyanne. Diet buddys are always a good thing.
It was a biggg Panera blueberry bagel, lol. I enjoyed it and it's over. Today is the first day of the rest of my life!

@Chrystaltree2 wrote:.......so, why join WW if you want to eat cookies and muffins? I "did WW" many times of ther last 30 years and I always lost weight, 30lbs to be exact. I would lose it rather quicklyy and then BAM, I would hit a plateau. I followed my points but the weight wouldn't come off and eventually the WW leaders (who are NOT medical professionals) would assume I was cheating. I would get angry and depressed and go back to eating. The program failed me and millions of other people because like it or not, that eat your cupcakes and your chips and your fried chicken wings.....and just count your points, does not work. All calories are not created equal. Complex carbs are our friends, simple carbs are not. The new WW stratgey is totally different than the old one. You cannot compare the two. Also, this new program has an added benefit of teaching us how to eat better and the goal is to continue eating better after we lose our weight. As for the sight, I agree, there isn't much info for newbies or those who don't "get" it. It was easier for me because this new WW was similar to a very $$$$ diet program I was on that provided meals and shakes. However, that failed when too when I stopped eating the foods they provided. So, the concept is not new to me. I do think that if I did not have that experience and the medical counselling that program provided, I would be grumpling about high points for foods I akways thought were ok to eat too. I have no problems, with the WW site when I use my laptop. My phone is Android and the WW sight isn't working quite so well. So, I just use my laptop. I plan my meals ahead and I don't really eat on the go, so I don't need to contstantly check for points.
This post is so true!
I rejoined on Tax Day with the 3 month special and free bag of stuff.
I cannot believe how the points changed!
What are your favorite new low point foods or recipes??

I was feeling creative this morning and added a ww 2 point chocolate smoothie packet to my morning hot coffee to replace milk and ovaltine. It's really good, it can be a smoothie or coffee additive ![]()

Whew! Well, we all know that nothing can make a liar out of you faster than saying, "l'm going to be true to my weight loss plan".
Everytime I restart, I mean what I said but these last couple of times, I get a distraction that I use as an excuse to eat. ( sorry, @Tissyanne, lol). It's a fact that eating makes you feel better and if your new way of eating is too new to be second nature yet, it's easily blown. That's what happened to me these last 2 weeks.....I was doing well, then we heard that the trial involving my brother's death was coming up. Old, almost buried feelings came to the surface, had to sit and listen to gruesome facts in court for days. Well, the food made me feel better; no lie.
Anyway, I missed a meeting because I knew I wasn't following the plan but I went back Sunday and I'm doing well. Hopefully, I'll stay on track this time; stay on course.
Imo, weight loss is one of the hardest things to succeed at because you're always around food and you always have to make positive food choices. I don't have the structure of being in the workplace where I can't always eat when the urge hits me. The busy workplace helped discipline me. When I go to these senior social places, there is usually food around. I think it's easier to be an alcoholic. It's not always in your face.

Hello @Mmsfoxxie,
I am sorry you have gone through a tough time regarding your brother. It is very true that stressful times are easier to get through when we can eat for comfort. I know that it has always been that way for me.
I am continuing to attend my Sunday afternoon WW meetings, and the new Smart Points is a success for me and my lifestyle. I also enjoy a new cookbook that I purchased called Clean and Hungry (Hungry Girl) Easy all natural recipes for healthy eating in the real world. Nutritional info is included with each recipe, and you can download the SP values for the recipies already calculated for you. One of my favorites is an Italian Wedding Soup that has the grated cauliflower in place of rice or pasta. Delicious and filling. I trudge on, and am slowly training myself to a new lifestyle of eating patterns. Some days are easier than others, but I do take one day at a time. I wish you much success in your journey. ![]()
